Boycotting community events

Just use a speed hack, it seems to be acceptable to them to use it...... see earlier post.

Mhuahaha if it's true it's priceless. And actually I think it is, as the guy describes exactly what that speed hack does. "Oooh but we have honor and rules and stuff". Just not that of the game, it seems.

BTW I loved the protest attempt after the request for using the speed hack. "Would you be offended?" "Yes!", followed by short bursts of "no, nonono".

Guess we know what "code" stands for, now, he :p

Am I going mad, did that footage showing code using hacks get deleted? Can't seem to see it now.
Still there, the name of the video specifically is:

Code - Open. Pirate Griefer, lovable Rogue - Now with
(There were no , feel like I should report under the trades description act also.)

I was watching after finishing playing for the night, couldn't believe how they had the gall to insult combat loggers then talk about hacks.

No I mean the post here linking to the footage. I can't seem to see it, it may be still there and I'm just going blind. It's just it strikes me as odd a mod would remove it.

He feared he might empty his load

(of scrap - at Hutton - obviously - you ty people)

:D

That was ......joyous, and somehow put me in mind of I, Claudius with Derek Jacobi desperately explaining to John Hurt's Caligula his witty intent. :)

Rep given.

Was it not the code lot that dropped the threats a few months ago?
came on to the forums and basically outright said they were coming from Eve to grief and ruin people's experience in the hope the game would eventually fail?

I know one group threatened it and Code does sound kinda familiar

It was removed - naming and shaming/hackusations are not permitted.

I fail to see how this is naming and shaming, no one is named it is an unknown voice on teamspeak, and it's not really an accustaion I was querying something I had observed on a stream from a group member, with a member from that group, over a statement another group member had made.

IF I had actual evidence of someone hacking I'd send it to FD and not post it on the forum as I'm aware that'd be naming and shaming.

Ignoring the last 20 pages of discussion for my sanity.

In response to OP:
Having a lot of credits I have recently come up with a personal rule. If I get interdicted in a trade/mining/exploration CG I will fight the interdiction but if they pull me out of SC I will stop and drop up to 25% of my cargo. If they demand more I will haggle since I gots to make a profit :p
If I am destroyed for no clear reason and/or without communication I will spend the entire rest of the CG time in private group or solo. Less interesting, less exciting, no random conversations and games whilst waiting for a landing pad but also no 5 hours earning my insurance buffer back. 2 Losses eliminates your entire bonus for a CG.

Basically I will honour the "true" pirates but if silly folk are around I don't see the point in becoming someone else's pretty explosion.
I'd like a Mobius equivalent that allowed piracy but not ship destruction. They can interdict you, shoot your drives out etc but destruction of ships is not allowed since that costs crazy money to replace. Could be interesting.

And if anyone argues with the above I honestly don't care, you can kill people, I can avoid people :)
Oh, I do not think this means we should boycott CG's, simply boycott the silly people (For lack of a better word).

Responding to the last few comments:
Blockade.. Ok fair enough but you can't call yourselves pirates in that case. Pirates by definition are sea-robbers after plunder. They don't fight for causes or beliefs because that would make them soldiers, the only time they'd ever consider fighting for anything other than their own wealth would be to defend themselves against attack (pre-emptively or otherwise)..
In any case It's a mug. Surely another rare good is good for pirates especially one with such high supply, it definitely isn't a bad thing in any case.

All in all this entire mess really shows how terrible the police and bounty mechanics are. It also highlights to me how much people were enjoying the co-operation and fun at Hutton before a few spoilt it for everyone which in theory shouldn't be possible. This isn't really an opinion either, check out the threads, in 48 hours the many threads have gone from "Hutton CG is the best ever" to "Boycott community events" and for all its worth: Congratulations for being that guy that spoils everyone elses fun.

Edit: Realised I started with "Having lots of credits" without finishing what I meant to say. I meant that in the way that I can afford to loose a ship. People with less credits stored that are pushing for a more expensive ship may be impacted more by a loss.

It still made people believe that code is infested with cheaters. Just look at the last few pages, this is exactly the reason why such links are not allowed.

Yup. I just made a Hacku.

"It's a long way to Hutton

Hack is fine

Combat loggers!!"

Well it was on Teamspeak, one guy mentioned using it and the others were (to paraphrase) "yeah fine".

Which would imply it's condoned? I'm not sure it's the poster's fault if people are thinking Code are using hacks.
