Yes indeed. 100% agree.[big grin]Yes indeed. 100% agree.
Nothing to add !Don't want to cheat?
It's easy, don't type in the codes.
Cheats should be in every game type, if you don't want to use them, you're not forced to.
If you don't want them there because you might be tempted to use them in a scenario, that's not the games problem.
I think for the scenarios there should be no cheats.... Go to sandbox if you want to have total free control.
But of course that's me.If there are cheats added I will just try to stay away from them. ;D
Thumps down , because.,..Nothing to add !
.....he is right. To play with achievement and high score and compare with other people cheats should be deactivated in campaign and scenario. There should be achievements and for that maybe a bit of comparison to others and for that in the campaign mode cheating would be inadequate. So I hope the developers open cheating for sandbox but not for campaign mode [yesnod]
High scores and achievements are fun but when the game is 1 year old all those things are very high. Look at the flappy bird high scores if you do that score than you are 100 years bussy.Thumps down , because.,..

That is such a good idea! +1Cities Skylines deactivates achievements or whatever it is, when you activate mods to the game.
Some other games also deactivates high-scores when in sandbox or with mods activated.
If the game, for some reason, should have high score charts and achievements, I do hope they disable it when necessary to make it fair for those who look to compete with others for the ultimate high score.

Truth is, many people will use cheats if they are available, but in the end, gameplay is often more fun without cheats. Cheats are usually very gimmicky - it's often enjoyable to mess with cheats once, but as soon as the novelty is gone, they are more game-breaking than anything, and less fun in the long run than actual gameplay. A lack of cheats simply forces you to play a game by the rules, which I think is ultimately more rewarding.
I do think having cheats for sandbox mode is a good idea, though in that I would think they function more as shortcuts or extra tools to make what you want. For instance, the cheat in RCT3 is that allows you to freely change lifthill speeds can be game-breaking with the ability to make short, cheap rides with very high intensity/excitement ratings. But in sandbox mode, it allows you to make launched coasters in a realistic way that was otherwise unavailable.
Frontier please ad custom scenery. Rollercoaster tycoon 3 was an amazing game because you could make a ride so beautiful because there was custom scenery. So add custom scenery optionI don't want custom scenery then, since you should play the game with the tools the developers have given you. That's ultimately more rewarding.
I hope Frontier are reading; don't add custom scenery options please, because I don't personally want to use it.

If you don't want it to be in the Campaign mode, I can understand you, but if you're saying that it shouldn't be in the sandbox mode as well.. RCT3 is still being modded today, and it's probably the biggest reason the game is still bought nowadays.don't add custom scenery options please, because I don't personally want to use it.

If you don't want to use custom scenery doesn't mean that other people don't want to use it. Custom scenery is a must in the game! If you don't want to use it. Don't use it but is must be in the game. I'm a very big fan of custom scenery. I use it all the time. Planet Coaster without Custom Scenery isn't Planet coaster is is Planet coa... It isn't finished! No, I don't ever use custom scenery, so going by the attitude in this thread, it shouldn't be in the game. You all might want it, but I don't, so it shouldn't be in the game. Just like cheats, right? Isn't that the conclusion we've reached? The optional feature shouldn't appear at all if some people aren't going to use it?
Edit: people seem to be taking me literally, as if I don't want custom scenery. Of course it should be in the damn game, I'm just making a point! Just because YOU don't use something optional, that doesn't mean it should be left out of the game. Other people may want it, and it's optional, so it shouldn't come down to "Well I don't use it, so leave it out!"
Other people might WANT to use cheats in scenario mode, so let them. This is what happens on every forum for RCT and games like it and I'm sick of it.
