I dunno, i saw many great bands back in the day.
Everything from The Orb, to RHCP, to FNM, Slayer and Maiden..
Good times.
Bruce inson is an absolute legend and a really nice guy. Same with Kerry and Tom from Slayer.
Had pints, great guys.

you not heard? iron maiden is looking to buy fdev after sony buy them, then tencent buy sony, M$ buy tencent so that fdev can buy M$

I remember them pretty well, they were very good for the most part. I was not around when all that stopped, so where are they, can we still access them somewhere in the forums?

As for VR, well i know to those for whom it is a passion (cough..job?) it must smart when it is not up to expectations, but first world problems and all that. For us humble flat screen users (for which is good enough for our gaming enjoyment) whom probably are the majority, we would like other stuff fixed first that involves the actual gameplay/balance/bugs etc.

I feel the longer the silence, the proportionality of Doom must increase, surely?

Ah... The "there isn't VR in EDO" short memories... There wasn't going to be any, which was a wise decision, now it is Horizons with new planetary tech, and no regurgitation on-foot meandering in VR, but still the tears flow... (wait for it... We know what will occur in fairly short order, a [VR] type will...)

Rather than celebrate there is something rather than nothing, the embittered complain there is something, rather than nothing, then present a 'campaign' to have that which never existed inserted as it is missing... Amazing!

Jesus Christ.... I thought you said this was a banter thread. my post was specifically tongue in cheek as a response to someone saying there needs to be more doom in the thread to keep in on topic......and whilst I do wish the vr was better esp in the on foot part of the game I absolutely am glad what we have is there. with out it there would be no reason for me to install EDO, as it is I do play it now and again.

but there you go...you got your wish a [VR] type responded.

Lol Imagine being a CM at Fdev, instead of mangament checking to see if you're wearing your Covid face mask, they are checking if your gag is secure and tight.

I feel sorry for the CMs it must be tough for them in this situation. I think the CMs really do care about us. They would love nothing more than to give us info.

Imagine being in their shoes, being silenced.

Ah but you see the VR crowd will have the last laugh though.
I saw over the weekend where Zuckerberg told an online gaming website that he is a huge fan of Elite and was saddened when he heard they were getting bought out. So naturally he hinted that Meta will buy the franchise off of Braben. The good news is that VR development will continue under his watch and Elite will become part of the metaverse!
Only down side is that everyone will only be allowed one Cmdr and a linked Facebook account will be required. Ads will be shown in the new "meta panel" in your cockpit and funny cat videos will be the norm in Galnet.

I knew you would... Although I expected another too, maybe later... Amazing how few folk are able to interpret banter, in the first place, and even less if it the levity 'touched' one of their pet subjects.
