China is shutting down gaming in China
Yeh, but they can still screw up western titles.

Not me... Everything that annoys me about ED:O is present & much worse in SC.Im sure many ED refugees will eventually end up on SC if the Tencent hammer drops.
I'm sure they won't giver a toss who owned the franchise...![]()
There is no good sense here... You have read the content in general here, haven't you?True, maybe im overestimating this communities good sense.

As much sense here as in the SC forum, or any other game forum, probably.
(I have never claimed to post sense, or pretend a game is important!)
You are a wise man.I used to post here ALOT, started in 2016. But i stopped that about 1.5 years ago because this place wound me up so much. it actually made me start hating the game. This forum changed... it used to be fun once, then it got politcal and whingy.
Ive found that im a much happier man now since i cut out all forms of social media from my life and that includes this place.
i still read it on and off and i post the odd 'what not' here and there, but basically im disengaged and uninvested.
Still Play ED though.
The forum here, in general, is a source of much amusement for me. So many 'serious' players, all clutching their pearls when others disagree with their perspective or agenda. But then, maybe it is because I have a generally well developed sense of the ridiculous?I used to post here ALOT, started in 2016. Must admit I've been of a similar mindset. Got sick of being annoyed at some of the toxic and perpetually negative views of some here in the forums. Although I've never hated the game as a result, just some of those who play it. Mind you, I'm sure some no longer play it but just LOVE to rag on it here just the same....I used to post here ALOT, started in 2016. Every planet has its own weird customs. About a year before we met, I spent six weeks on a moon where the principal form of recreation was juggling geese. My hand to God. Baby geese - goslings! They were juggled.

It's all very complicated... you should probably start with cats.Do you have any instructions on the best way to start learning this skill?
And a 1337 GBit/s internet connection with a static dedicated IPv4 address (IPv6 not supported, loss of license if your IPv4 address is dynamic and/or not unique). No, a 5090 or 8900 XT and a couple of 64 core CPUs with 2 TB of DDR18 memory should do fine...

Ah, perk up. Last year they said they'd look at PP! Ok, I know they've said the same in the past and not done it, but at least they wrote about doing something! Its not really DOOM! but an ever increasing sense of ennui really. FD seem intent on killing the bits I like and show no interest in making them better.
It all starts with an egg!Do you have any instructions on the best way to start learning this skill?
I watched that, a buyout wasn't on my bingo card for why FDev have remained tightlipped. After watching it my thoughts were turned to Epic being a possible candidate, there is the Tencent connection there. I'm not sure if it were the case that FDev was acquired what that would spell for Elite, it's an historical game franchise that with extra investment could reap some major rewards - especially for Epic if it were ported/integrated to the Unreal 5 engine, you wouldn't get a better showcase game for Unreal 5 than Elite Dangerous IMO. Their Matrix video of the procgen city is certainly a perfect fit to get full populated worlds in the game along with many other possibilities. There's no game with a scope like it out there, it would be a huge leap forward for the entire games industry. So we have today...

So the underground is buzzing that Frontier are remaining silent as they arrange to sell out...
Is it to Tencent? Shall we be playing ED on our mobiles, with lootboxes every jump?
More exciting DOOM news as it breaks...
Stay tuned!
(yes, it is humour!)
Or approaching empty nesters with a lot of retirement cash and time to play a game that is the fulfillment of their childhood video game dreams...As I read elsewhere...
Frontier are engaging with every title except ED, where there is effective silence... Maybe nobody wants to buy a geriactric game played by a niche minority!
(Yes, I did read that elsewhere... Possibly as I wrote it elsewhere)
