Yeah, I admit the feeling of joy in anticipation of new features is outweighed by a sense of "what will they break this time".

Duplicate system scan message fixed (at the second attempt), 10cr bug introduced.
Pips reset when docking the SRV fixed, apparent (hasn't happened to me, yet) power priorities bug introduced.
20-30 second freezes fixed, frame drops in certain situations introduced.

They're not game breaking as such, but annoying and really spoil the enjoyment one gets out of this game. The last one in particular might make me stop playing for a while until it gets sorted (and god knows what it'll be replaced with...).

I'm trying to fit an engineered 6A thruster to my corvette but it doesn't show as available. I can fit any of my other 7A engineered thrusters but all of my smaller ones are missing although I can fit a stock 6A.
Otherwise, it all looks good.
I guess your maximum thruster mass is exceeded. Dirty Drives 5?

Its simple. Playtesters test, see this and report it. It is placed on a list of 1000+ issues, and considered 'non-critical'. They crush as many critical bugs as possible while hitting some internal deadline, then release with whatever bugs are left. If any are critical, it'll be fixed in the weeks following release. The rest gets on the 'maybe next major update' list.
Pray tell me more about the critical bugs that got fixed 😂

Some DBX background panel used to be blue instead the yellow it should have been. Or is it the other way around? Whichever, this bug kept me up at night. I'm so glad they fixed it!
I guess there are roughly 800 DBX pilots in game, so this should count as 800 fixed bugs, right? 😂

My all-time favorite is the new Shipyard bug.

Alas, all my ships are in one shipyard, but when I try to access the shipyard screen, HEXAGON OF DEATH!!! Then back to main screen.

Have to quit to Main Menu then come back in again, works fine then. Once.

But I LOVE the new Trading screens. Allllmost worth it!!

Seems like we're quickly reaching the point where the things that break outnumber the improvements introduced...

"We fixed 800 bugs..."
Strange, not a single of the ones that bothered me were among them.
well the most annoying bug for me was secondary mission targets scanning as target signal sources only upon entry the target fails to come up as a mission target, leaving you with a mission you cannot complete. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be one of the 800 bugs they decided to fix although reported so many times I've lost count, so I would have to agree with your position

AFAIK, not a single bug I've reported in recent months (in great and meticulous detail supported with screenshots and videos) has been fixed. And now Frontier wants me to use a broken, convoluted bug tracking system to report these new bugs?

You know, the stuff that happens when you develop games. That opening the player handbook doesn't crash the game, jumping to the new beginner's area doesn't remove all permits or turn your ship into a giant turtle, the supercruise assist doesn't occasionally steers straight into the star. It is easy to be sarcastic and take everything that works for granted, but I dont see the point.

Found another bug. Old chestnut again. Massacre missions, the enemy faction ships don't always show as "Mission Target." Seems to be more frequent if they are in a wing of three.

The same QA team that somehow managed to miss the 10cr restock bug despite it staring you in the face every time you're in a docking station...

So true. Frontier I would appreciate it if you would stop using us for QA of your game or pay us for it. We should get paid for it seeing you seemingly skip on most of the QA on your end. Where can I sign on for providing you with the payment details?

The constant whining gets to me. We are getting FREE updates (at regular intervals) to a great space simulator and there are always people straight on the forum to complain. Raise a ticket and enjoy the game. Concentrate on what we HAVE got: The developers never let these things drag on - thanks FRONTIER for an epic and ongoing experience.

Sure buddy. There is no such thing as free. The major reason they continue to support this game is for the steady income through micro transactions. Do you really think they do this out of the goodness of their heart... We're the piggy banks for them. I still support this game because I like the game. However that doesn't mean I'm whining if I'm confronting them with their poor QA of their game. This should be done in-house or we can assist by playing beta releases of new content. But funny enough Frontier doesn't allow console players to participate in beta releases. That doesn't mean we should do their job by doing QA after the content is released.

I think "New Era" should be renamed to New Error.

🤭......😂......🤣
New era where bugs cause physical damage to hardware.
Turn on the pc and hide behind chair in case it explodes 🤣

Do FD have QA team at all, never saw this kind of mess in any game i played ever?
This really worries me what 2020 update will cause to the game, or how it will limit the scope of new BIG DLC

See the way I look at it, I paid for a game back in 2017 that worked great. Then came all these "free" updates that continually made the game worse by introducing serious bugs. It's the equivalent to buying a new car, only to have the dealer come to my house a few months later and install a new "free" radio using an oversize hammer that does more damage than good. I should be grateful for that?

Now if I could roll the game back to version 2.3 (after Frontier fixed vsync) and not accept these "free" updates, then perhaps I'd have less room to complain. But I bought a product that worked (otherwise I would have returned it for a refund), and then soon after Frontier broke that product that I paid good money for, and there's nothing I can do about it. 🤷‍♂️
