Referring back to 1., it is great content so long as both sides are actually contributing towards fun and not just talking out of their backsides. What I have seen this evening is people on Reapers side bleating about wanting to negotiate but then when I try to push that point, it became clear you really DON'T want to negotiate and are just engaging in the old discredited defence of "they made me do it". That's pathetic and if you want to talk about trolling, that's exactly what that is.

So frankly, for the rest of this evening I'm not engaging with this anymore. you guys have fun with this little echo chamber because that's all this is really isn't it? AAA don't post here. It's one side plus a few neutrals who get shot down if they don't say what you like.

Seems to me, some one has starting to fight fires over their sudden fall in reputation. I, for one, got involved in this war because my rights were attacked. I dont blame anyone for my actions. I stand tall, defending my self because I was attacked. No other way around it. Im not a Reaper. I have never ganked another cmdr. I have been on the "right side" of the law since I started playing. But I will not be silenced by "police" brutaliy. Ever.

None of this adds up.

You got to page 42 before you realised that on the whole, one side is talking and now you criticise the thread for that yet it was this thread, above all others, that made you post because it was interesting. It's gone from interesting to an echo chamber. The only thing to have changed in this thread is you,

I think you've been rumbled and said your goodbyes for the second time in 2 pages.

I'm no part of the Nameless or the Reapers but I oppose SPEAR. I describe myself as a neutral but I suppose the reality is, I'm a well-wisher for the lawless in this battle/war.

How do you describe your neutrality?

New angle. Now it becomes even harder, even if one side has gankers the other is police brutality. Like it :)

There are no good guys and bad guys anymore, there never were, it was all just POV....but now it just got murkier :)

We have some gankers and the last time SPEAR(ESCA) went to Colonia we all had merry fun when that certain CMDR chased Colonia's most wanted around.
We even sparred. I got regularly scanned by him and was ignored when I was clean.
That way the interaction is totally ok for me. The way it is now, not so...

We asked who was attacking us, we were met with silence.

We asked why we were being attacked, we were met with silence.

We asked to negotiate a reasonable, peaceful settlement, we were met with silence then insults.

Given the above (which is all provably true) I'm not sure what else we can do or why we should make any attempt at politeness with opponents who ha e shown none to us.

Looks like CIDE/SECD finally shows their true colors and is going for what they wanted to do since 9 months. SPEAR and the rest were just useful pawns. Never trust a self-appointed wannabe god.

Clean as in what SPEAR stated. There was something about only shooting people who have big bounties and such. One of our members made a personal test the other day and SPEAR failed with flying colors.

It's a personal vendetta against @Phisto Sobanii because he called out SPEAR on their own hypocrisy. Enough videos out there where SPEAR ganks clean players because

2) It's no more fun if people follow you around, attacking you repeatedly and target you specifically. It's very close to harassment, closer then some occasional ganking by far.
Again, we called out SPEAR on that hypocrisy and this made them jump several carriers into our home, 22k LY, using every dirty trick in the BGS against us, including racking up bounties and shooting themselves up for that - specifically without using their famed EDRecon to not appear as ganker... Sorry, but that our side gets heated by this is no surprise.

this is and was never the reason. the reason was the virtual genocide which was done against the former and original population of colonia.
and the two "leaders" of the reapers were one of the main actors in this dirty and disgusting activities.

The one that really changed my mind on them was a CMDR that got into a fight with them at an anarchy port and otherwise didn't get involved in ganking, that subsequently went out in an exploration asp and was streaming themselves checking out the then-relatively-new installations.

One of spear's lot stream-sniped them. And to make it worse, posted up a bragging video about the kill claiming they were "serving justice". And they "just happened" to bump into them. Because I too fly 0-2-4 while I'm exploring random installations and pull out to a safe distance and reverse away until my bandwidth counter spikes.

And of course, any time you provide evidence of the stuff they pull, they report it for naming and shaming. What can you do?

I wish SPEAR were what they used to be. Maybe someone else will step up.

Oh the trials of being a nightshifter. I wake up for a few minutes and see three new pages of discussion.

I will say this: not a day has gone by since we arrived in Colonia where we have not been under pressure by our opponents. Over the better part of this year, that pressure has gradually increased until it reached a breaking point with SPEAR's arrival.

You may say we are gankers, or "shield" gankers, but the simple fact of the matter is that we do not fit into the black-and-white morality that many (and indeed most) people view us through.

But until recently nobody bothered to ask us what we were all about. PvP? Sure. We enjoy that. We also enjoy getting lost exploring. And mining. Running pax missions. Roleplay and lore is extremely important to us - in fact, I'd argue the Reapers are the most lore-centric squadron in Elite, steeped in both official and non-official stuff.

We approach the game holistically, we play according to our own desires, and to simply cram us into a single box or label us by a single definition is an insult to the effort we put in to create a squadron where all are welcome to join.
