Discussion Can i move the "0" of my X52 throttle?

I have been messing with my newly acquired HOTAS and as expected it needs a lot of getting used to. One issue that i am finding particullarly difficult to get used to, is that i need to guess where the "0" is for the throttle. I was told that i'd get used to it, but now, after a few days i feel that this is not ideal.

At first i thought that i just needed an intend at the center of the throttle travel, but after some thought i realised that i only go backwards when i try to land and overshoot the spot. So what i really need, is for the "0" throttle to be at the 25% indent that already exists on the throttle. (ideally and just taking this even further, maybe a hypper jump trigger when it reaches the 75% indent!?)

Anyway. i have had a look at the game controller properties and it looks like i cant move the middle of the axis.

But i noticed in the logitech software that i can change the throttle to bands instda of axis (if i am reading this right...). Could this be used for that?

I am really new to all of this, so now i am asking you for advice. Would there be any way to customise this?

I tried to find a similar solution when I first got my X52, and after a while found out that what I wanted is either not possible or way too much hassle to be worth it. What you can do easily, though, is remove the throttle detents entirely -- you still have to "feel" for the center "0" point but it doesn't take long to become muscle memory. The mod is also easily reversible as long as you don't throw out the part. There's a ton of guides out there on how to do it, but here's a good one:

Drag the two deadzone bars apart. They are on the first image you sent.
Underneath the red line, two grey icons in the middle.

Slide them apart it will create a dead zone. Make it wide enough to cover the red line

I did this with my X52. It is simply a matter of undoing the bottom screws and looking at the throttle slider. There is a rubber throttle indent that can simply be pulled out.

I don't want a deadzone in the middle though. I wanted to move the middle (and the deadzone) furhter to the back so that i have say 75% forward dravel, and 25% backward travel (+ a bit of deadzone to combat the flickering of the red line)

I actually had very good success removing the backwards axis so i used the full range only forward. The detents seemed to more or less fit the aread that turned the speed line safe color for nearing stations and targets to exit jump speed.
I then used one of the dials to toggle the throttle to reverse. I don't spend much time reversing, other than when docking really
