What on earth are you talking about, who said anyhting about booting them. They are being named and shamed, that's all that matters.
I already told you from first hand expirience that they do care. They will also care if you announce it on the comms in local (not direct). They are also chased since they are on a KOS list.
We dont need pvp PG, I consider them lame and against the spirit of the game. Open is the only mode that matters for me.
What am I talking about, you ask?
Previously, you asked me a question.
You asked me "What's incorrect".
It was suggested to you priorbto that, that a PvP PG would resolve many issues you appear to be experiencing, including combat logging, because you could eject any player from a PG for combat logging.
To which, you said, "no need", because all of the benefits of a PG are available in Open.
Except, you were incorrect.
You can't boot players out of Open.
That's what I was talking about.
I don't know whether to be surprised that you weren't able to follow that simple discussion point.
And trust *me*. A combat logger does not care two hoots about being "shamed". No matter what they may tell you. Combat logging is a shameless act. They could not care less. Trying to insist that combat loggers *care* is utterly inconsistent and incoherent. If they cared they wouldn't combat log. I don't know why anyone would insist otherwise, because that's just contrary.
Whether you consider a PvP PG "against the spirit of the game" or not, the fact remains that a PvP PG would address many of the issues you say you care about.
Many players, including myself, consider seal clubbing in Open "lame and against the spirit of the game". For many of us, this very thread just represents an agenda from PvP hero's to cling to some inane idea about forcing more soft targets in Open mode. Use the word incentivise if you wish, it doesn't change the apparent agenda. Nothing we have heard persuades us otherwise.
Especially this KOS list. I mean, *really*? A KOS list of combat loggers? Tell us how you successful that idea is forecast to be.
Now analyse how this talk of a KOS helps with the agenda of getting more players into Open...
That's right. It doesn't help one bit.
If you are truly serious about attracting more players into Open from PG and Solo, none of the things you have written are remotely attractive.
Despite this, you'll find me in Open for another week, conducting and extending my own research... Sadly this week it will be between the hours of 0430 to 0530 UK due to work hours. I hear Eravate is a "hot spot", so I'll be based around there for a few days to observe Open...
