Can we have a poll on having to scan at all?

As polls seems to be so successful, I'd like to see one on the need to scan at all.

I propose we fly into a system, but during the witchspace jump, our scanner module is already scanning the system we're jumping to. When we enter the system, we'll see a popup showing all ELW's, and using advanced AI, will also show any nice vista locations.

A bonus of 1 million credits will be paid for each planet pre-scanned, and as an extra bonus, your fuel tank will be filled, regardless of star type.

Why do you want so much grind?

I believe it would be better if I can just sit at my home station, and remotely send my ship out on autopilot to do all the scanning for me. Then when it finds something interesting it will send me a screenshot and I can instantly teleport to the ship using telepresence. I'm pretty sure this would be the perfect form of exploration.

And then my ship can email me while I'm in bed so I don't' even have to be conscious...

No, no, no!

Everything is done from the main menu. You simply select what you want to look at in some sort of object viewer.
There's also a list of tourists hot spots to choose from, so y'know, you don't have to try or anything. It's just all there.

If you have head or eye tracking or a webcam, the game will offer you millions of credits if you can keep your eyes pointed at the screen for at least 6 seconds.
If you don't have any of those options, the game just spews out credits assuming you're watching.

That's exploration!

Agree, we should be able to send drones to any system we like to tell us whats there, and if we find anything we can go and collect it and take a look around. It is the year 3304 after all, most manual and monotomous jobs will be redundant by the year 2100 anyway. Sort it frontier.

This is still too much. You'd have to actually launch your game. Exploration rank and credits should be earned just by whining on the forums about how much work it takes.

Supercruise is a witchspace pocket. Data from planetary scans already have to go through it, from the future while we traverse systems at speeds over c. You wont hurt mah immershun.
