Can't add experimental to the pre-engineered 5A FSD

Take a very close look at this image, this is what its supposed to look like, an exploit will not produce new text within inside the button like this. How can this be an exploit when a button was specifically designed for Pre Engineered items to be able to edit experimental effect.

Most probably it was a mistake.

Hopefully, one that will be corrected soon since Colonia Bridge FSD and Tech Broker 5A FSDv1 are supposed to allow adding and switching experimental effects at will

Good thing that I got bunch of Pre-engineered FSD's of size 5, like 6 of them, and also CG ones, 2 of each, size 4 and size 6, and all with mass manager. Be jelly if you will, but if someone is late, then its only thier mistake to not done it sooner.

Done it ages ago. And frontier annouced that long way ago that they intend to keep pre-engineered modules to not be tinkered in any way in future, and previous solution was meant to be temporary for some time, and that time window was long enough.

Except the size 5 FSD has been allowed to have experimentals to it ever since it was introduced years ago. The chaos with it sometimes working, sometimes not and even saying it was never intended to work only came in after the size 4 and 6 were added in CGs.
Possibly why they were never added to the Tech Brokers stock.

Possibly, though we have many many more that never went to the tech brokers. I think FDEV hate all the double and triple engineered modules and only introduced them in the first place to overcome the content drought at that time. As soon as new content started with the Titans incoming, they stopped offering the modules. But you can't put the genie back into the bottle. And the longer some players have and lots of others have not, the more unfair it becomes. ALL special modules to the tech brokers, NOW.

This is what the development told me.
Hah. Reply politely, and ask that they either fix your FSD, or they fix everyone elses*.

*We had to do this at work. Rear view camera on a delivery van with no rear window was inverted horizontally from the day we got it. Months later, the retained Mechanic from the van supply company swore blind that was correct and normal ("Think about it, if you look behind you, left is right and right is left, so the camera is correct ...") and argued he wouldn't fix what was obviously not broken. In the end we told him to either fix that one, or fix the other 19. And we still had to show him multiple other vans to prove it. That was an amusing day for us lol. Yeah, I know, real world vs game, but the principle is the same.

Thanks for the heads up. I think someone managed to put a similar report in a couple of hours before me but it’s worded slightly differently so didn’t show up on my search.

Remaining optimistic, it looks as though the active report is now at the voting stage, so right now this is being treated as a bug. Not sure if that will remain the case though. I hope it gets fixed, I was looking forward to completing my long range Colonia express build.

Happily voted. I hope FDEV fix this once and for all.....

Support do get things wrong from time to time. I've had them tell me one thing when i knew 100% it was something else.

Its possible in this case they are confusing engineering with experimental effect.
Yeah I think so too.
Based on the handful of occasions when I had to contact them, they always seemed really reasonable, nice and helpful people.
