Carcharodontosaurus design:

I would have to say the only portion i don't care for is the one spike on top of its head. it needs like three more trailing back or to have it take off.

Personally, I'd like to see both of the game's carcharodontosaurs take more from their IRL forms, mostly in the skull as that's the most diagnostic feature of these carnivores. Here are some by my friend Franoys. Speaking of which, I'm sure these kind of people would happily give their permission for FRontier to use their skeletals if credited properly

I hope Frontier would fix both the Carcharodontosaurus and the Deinonychus.

There's nothing to fix with either of them. The Carcharadontosaurus' head is almost just like it was in real life, they just made some JP alterations to fit the other dinosaurs. As for Deinonychus, remember that JP Velociraptor stole Deinonychus' look thanks to some paleontologists and Crichton classifying the two together back in the 80's and Frontier had to go back to the 80's depictions of Deino, with the shorter sloped head and eye ridge. The crest and tail sail I think are neat additions, especially if you consider that basilisk lizard DNA was used in its recreation.

There are things to fix with the Deinonychus and the Carcharodontosaurus. I would like to have the sails of the Deinonychus removed but I would accept
that outdated skull depiction iirc that Frontier used for the Deinonychus and the skin should tell people that the Deinonychus and the Velociraptor in game aren't the same.
The devs should remove some of the spikes in the Carcharodontosaurus especially the ones on it's side and the one on head. They should also change the skull that makes
the dinosaur look like something else than a Carcharodontosaurus.

You mean players who expected these dinosaurs to more or less look like their real life counterpart as much as possible without breaking the basic aspects of JP Dinosaurs?

As much as I would like the head fin on Deinonychus removed and some of the spikes removed from Carcharodontosaurus, it's not a necessity. It's not something that needs to be fixed. In fact, I would argue there is nothing to fix because their appearances are based on artistic decision on mutated dinosaur clones. Frontier's artists didn't mistakenly make them like this, they were chosen to look just like this, not unlike Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor who were changed. One might say JP Velociraptors are actually Deinonychus, but truthfully, they're not. They're based off of them, yes, but JP Velociraptors dwarf actual Deinonychus, and this was an artistic decision so that they are more threatening. The continued lack of feathers is also an artistic decision.

So in short, it's inaccurate, but it isn't something that needs to be fixed necessarily. It sucks, but it's how it is. It's creative liberty and artistic choice at work. There are things that DO need to be fixed about the game, but these aren't them.

Looking like a real life counterpart does break the basic aspect of JP dinosaurs. We've not had an accurate dinosaur in the entire franchise, and the original film is by far the worst offender with 100% of its dinosaurs being ridiculously inaccurate even at the time. So players who expected this were, to be blunt, pretty dumb to do so.

Seriously, just talking skull accuracy, Carcharadontosaurus' skull accuracy > T. Rex, Dilophosaurus, Velociraptor, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus skull accuracy.

I like the design, but more so when I have rainforest or woodland genes applied to it. The only real noticeable differences between Carchar and Giga IRL is that Giga has the pointed, thicker chin and small eye crests whereas Carchar has neither. I think they did a great job making the two different enough in-game.
Imagine if they instead picked Mapusaurus. Now that would be a mirror Giga lol
I think if we get another Carcharodontosaur in the future it has to be Acrocanthosaurus, or a much smaller one like Eocarcharia so that all the controversy doesn’t get stirred up again on looks

It looks fine to me. I think some people were expecting it to look like the JPOG model and this game isn't JPOG. I think the design Frontier decided on makes it look pretty terrifying and aggressive.

No they don't. They did enough to appease whiny paleo nerds with the resizing patch. They need to focus on actually making the GAME better.

A thousand times this. The game really sucked at release and slowly has been getting better with all of the free patches they have been doing. I was kind of disappointed when they first did the resize patch because its something so dumb and cosmetic it added nothing to the game and the same people who harped about that are probably the same ones harping about non issues like this.

We need a huge decor patch both free and paid next so that it is actually fun to design a park and not have every dino in the same enclosure and every island looking exactly the same. Other than that we something about the Guests and park management aspect of the game needs to be done because both of those are the last areas of gameplay that need to be fixed since they are basically non existent. If they could do these two things ASAP they can just sit back and release whatever DLC or cosmetic bull you want and not have to worry about people dropping the game before the end of this year.

I too think the Carcharodontosaurus's head looks hedious, but there really is no point pointing it out. It took a massive effort to make them change a few of the dinosaurs's sizes. It would take the same effort for them to change one of the models, and only very few people are complaining about this. So let it go.

guys lets be real, the frontier carcharodontosaurus design is not good, and before you guys say "Oh you are just a paleonerd or JP is no accurate or It has to be different because she will look similar to the giga" In JWE whe have a beautiful metriacanthosaurus and suchomimus design that it looks cool and accurate to his real life counterpart and looks very JP, and here are one example that it can be more scientifically accurate and be different, the models are made for ZT2 and thell me did they look the same?
