[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

Hi guys,

I'd like to sign up as escort. You look like you're a little short on smaller ships, so I'll be in my Vulture.

You don't have to ask :D

Would you Please change my Status from Carrier to Freelancer.
I can not garantee to be at the meeting-points at the specific date and time. Also change Ship to Cutter:

...

Done.

Having taken some time chasing designers, shipyard workers and engineers back in the old world, I shall be returning to Colonia in a new Militia vessel, the Fer De Lance CMS Badb Catha. Looking forward to travelling with you all :)

You better be :D

@ Qohen Leth Hi I applied online for a position as a Carrier, Bennerz - Cutter - SS Beagle but unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it, please delete the application. Safe trip to all.

@ Qohen .
I didn't give a name to my ship yet , but this time is over .

I'm almost definitely gonna sign up to this just not decided what I'll be flying.

I'm considering fitting my Clipper out for the trip, it'd be great if we could get a couple of imperial wings together.

Sad to hear :( Hope you'll be able to take part to another expedition someday!

On it.

I must've made a typo when I was filling out the form - Could M. Nazari be changed to N. Nazari? Thanks!

You got it pal.

I've applied! It's the same time as the Touch launch, but I can leave my hands out of VR for long enough to do this - Colonia needs a bulk delivery of milk from United Imperial Dairies!

Now I just have to squeeze in the time this month to get my Beluga engineered to have a jump range that won't drive me insane.

Ok, because I'm stupid I've decided to go full escort in a military spec clipper!

Currently considering this build plus engineer mods -

If you're too slow I'll take you in my cargo hold :D

If you go light, grade 5 FSD is pretty much the only one you need to care about. It's not hard to get 38ly on fumes.

I don't think I'm going to be able to make the 2nd December launch, or even the first basecamp, but I'll have caught up by the second basecamp...

Hope my hold full of onio^H^H^H^Hperfectly legal and wholesome goods remains unmolested...

Hello noble adventurers!

I see my fellow aussies have almost enough to wing together.

1x Asp Explorer - freelancer
2x Imperial Cutter - carriers
4x Anaconda
2 Freelancers
1 Stratotanker
1 Military Escourt
1x Fer De Lance - Escourt

Hello to the Aussie pilots of the listed ships above! I think we should meet up and say g'day. Given the timezones I would expect us to stick together a bit.

Personally I have no idea what ship to bring. I have a decently outfitted and partially engineered anaconda but looks like we have plenty of those. I currently also own an engineered beluga and diamondback Explorer(combat ready). I'd prefer to bring the beluga or dbx, depends on the requirements.

What do you guys think?

Should us aussies form a wing and stay together, might help for instances. Stick to the main meet ups tho.

I think the beluga might be my choice as a carrier, dbx as an Escourt. Some sadistic part of me is tempted to use a sidey!

I strongly encourage this.

Less Than A Month To Go

With less than 30 days now, quick update.
We are setting up the security protocol to ensure a safest as possible a departure for everyone. It implies a few things.

1) If you want to take part in the media covered departure event, you NEED to be on voice comms to listen to the Fleet Leader. Procedures will require everyone to do as told at some point, one by one, so you can't just follow the pack.

2) Updates on the expedition will start to drop on the CCN server, so i again strongly encourage you to join it and assign yourself the appropriate CCC role. I will not post all updates on this thread.

3) Security is the most vital of our concerns. We will NOT kid with it. If you feel like trolling or goofing around or showing up without a word, prepare to be killed on sight.

4) We will probably work with wings of 4, 2 Carriers+2 Escorts. Start planning your wings according to your Timezones now. Freelancers are more than encouraged to do the same.

5) If you don't take part in the media covered departure event, you are more than invited to hold one in FleetComm at your TZ convenience, at a location of your convenience. For security purposes, the departure system will not be mandatory. You can be escorted by your friends to a few hundred light-years ahead, a few days before, etc.

6) I repeat, security is our top priority. Some of the Carriers will NOT bring a shield. Any reckless attitude during meetups, either in space or on a surface, compromising the safety of the ships will be punished.

7) Mind that the event will probably last for 3 hours.

More detailed safety procedure will be shared when the time is right on the server.

Well, few updates about myself:

I am heading to colonia now with a mission of passengers worth of 100 millions. I hope when I'm back I´ll be able to refit a proper long range combat python and join the expedition, but for the moment keep me with the ASP "Golden Firefly".
The 2nd I'll be working, so I'll likely catch you in the first waypoint.

Aaaand... due to my job I am unable to properly join a wing for a long time. Very changing rotas and working times, I hope it is not a problem that I act solo and just join wings as they pop out in near my position.

Cheers!

Of course not. These wings are for the departure event in Open only, out of that, everyone does as they please :)

Roster Mistake, Please Correct.

Hello,
I am CMDR Pipedream and I signed up for the convoy but I made a mistake and accidentally selected "Carriers" group instead of "Militia" group. I do not think my combat ready Federal Corvette would be a very good carrier ship.
I apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
CMDR Pipedream.
