Cg griefer

I’m typically in a Krait I use to pirate my victims cargo. I also fly a chieftain for pvp fights. But yes I am a nuisance to some. After all, pirate lol

See you're a pirate that I assume tells their victims to cough up cargo or be destroyed. You don't go around seeing red killing everything in sight. Like I said before it's a fine line between respectable and D-bag.

When it comes to pirating that’s 100% true. If it’s a bounty hunter one and a reason I should support the pirates being attacked unjustly I’ll swing thru and target those with scanners. Usually make some ridiculous statement like the CG is off limits or something. Lol Or when the CG was in Grom space I interdicted and left people at 10% hull telling them Delaine won’t allow continued operations in his mortal enemies territory in this manner.

Did you read? I return to asked for reasons am a kind man in general! But the answer to.. is there a problem was no and laser say the rest! Early have the same clash with a cmdr but i return interdict him as he was wanted and txt about the matter.. He did reply the reason which was my wingman stealing his kill and no problem with go separate ways!.. Mentality is the key here perhaps.. Perhaps my chieftain could have talk but i leave this cg already. I have no problem with open as i intend to pledge again and prepare for pvp so i have so i can have my reason to engaged too.. ;) thank you for your response to this and i was just sorry that one wingmate lost a cutter to him.

I think you misunderstand the reply system. The response you just quoted was in no way directed to you but the person I directly relplied to. I apologize if you assumed I wasn’t reading your post and was responding to you. I have been reading your posts and when I felt it was best to answer them I have done my best. As for losing a cutter or what not so goes the perils of open is the best I can offer I guess. I’d recommend not flying a cutter to begin with unless you have crazy shield tanks that is engineered and some cell banks. Otherwise you’re a large easy target. I hope that helps.

I love my Corvette but I'll be the first to admit it's absolutely useless in PvP against good commanders in smaller more nimble ships and that goes for all of the huge ships. Also shield tanking in PvP is a massive gamble. Go up against a wing that has one ship with the shield killing torpedoes and your 10,000 shields will be reduced to zero in one attack as the rest of the wing kills your power plant in seconds after mister torpedoes does his job.

That’s true but rare that someone is flying with torps unless specifically hunting big ships. Mines are getting very popular on console lately; however, most seem to be focusing on the ones that kill thrusters instead of reverbs. I’d say if even somewhat competent your shield ranked cutter can get away at least even if torped since nothing can mass lock you. I think due to the frequency of cutters showing up in PvP you’ll see more ships carrying loadout a for these encounters. Me? I’m always going to focus on fast and nimble. Gotta our run ATR and system security lol

I missed that part.
Sorry, that was your wingman's fault.

I’m not entirely sure what you’re saying here, no offense but it’s rather hard to follow.

Firstly, I’m not your buddy guy!

And now that I have that out of the way, let’s assume you’re upset because of the way he approached you. Well all’s fair in space fights, he didn’t approach you unfairly since you have sensors that go 360 degrees around your ship. How does one have their hardpoints clearly focused for PvP? Aren’t hey just hardpoints and one has them with different engineering effects done to them? There are some that are better for pvp, but that doesn’t make them clearly pvp as you can use any hardpoint for pvp or pve. I’m not really certain what weird moves you’re discussing here. And lastly my comment wasn’t to just you, but everyone posting here before that comment; hence, why I didn’t just respond to you.
Ok sorry for buddy english is not my primary language so to make things clear he was in same haz ok good then some other show up ok some of which wing up and there were other too not in wing so it was hard when you are concentrated on your task to notice which one is which on your radar.. Clearly either because of your choosen activity you don't want to understand me or am a whiner and need to just do what you said and be as him.

If that’s your take away then fine, but I never suggested you had to play the same way. Simply addressing the situation that he isn’t a griefer. Also trying to help so you don’t have this issue bother you again or at least help you to avoid it in the future. I understand you fully; at least I think so, I just don’t agree that any wrong doing took place here.

Maybe he wants to be your buddy but as you stated earlier you would much rather shoot and kill someone first before considering becoming buddys. Never seen you in open but I could imagine how much of a nuisance you are in-game (based on your posts) just like that one dude always camping CG's in a Cutter killing everyone.
Thats the way i see things tbh, i state as clearly a possible a bad move by a cmdr but it is unheard by some.

Yeah i own one only for armed transport, perhaps the cmdr assumed it was enough for pve!..

PVP is one or two fights, enter super curse for 10 mins go back to station get repaired... phase sequence lasers do damage no matter the shield...

PVE is 100s of fights in a row and never returning to station untill fuel is running out or you can't make any more ammo... BH PVE should be unlimited fights with shield cell banks never needed...
This is why people run different builds... Lasers don't need ammo... PVP Flack cannons, Plasmas and rail guns need ammo (unless you use plasma slugs mod but then you reject the other mods you may want)
So when spending hours in fight after fight after fight with never going back to stations many people choose to run another build, that means there able to not have to go looking for more resources to make ammo while floating in space...Spending time sitting looking at the synthesizer screen is also boring...

When PVE grouping you want to run a shield heal beam as well thats not required when PVPing so you add that beam weapon to heal the group ships shields...
Thats the easy most common reason to run a different build as the game play is now group help added ...

Though I have no problems using my PvP focused ships in PvE combat, you do a good job of highlighting how comically absurd PvE expectations are.

The perceived dichotomy between PvP and PvE could be largely erased if NPCs behaved in a believable manner, rather than as fodder happily lining up against the wall, waiting to be shot.

I win some, I lose some, but almost never does the the vette feel 'absolutely useless' to me, even against more nimble ships:

That's all on PC, but the dynamic shouldn't be that different on PS4.

The vette/conda is a different sort of PvP challenge, and a nice change of pace coming from Vipers, Vultures, and FDLs. You have more firepower and durability, but it's more difficult to leverage, and it's trickier to extradite yourself from danger when things go south. Easy to over commit in a large ship, and often hard to keep up with a running fight in one, but they can still hold their own against smaller vessels, most of the time.

Sexy. Also spot on in your description of NPCs and their behavior. Their piloting programming is absurd and frustrating.

Anyway thanks for clearing (partly) the situation as possible but its a mix bag. Some experimental effect are powerful for pvp like when it bleed through your shield etc well am sure you the ones.. I have a chieftain with such. That why i said it was different from bh build i met here and there.

After about 250+ hours I had my first encounter with a "Griefer". I will call them a griefer as they interdicted my shieldless unarmed Orca on the way back to Hauser's Reach. I didn't have a chance to escape as all it took was one shot from their Krait to destroy my ship. Upon returning to the station I learnt that the same player had been attacking passenger ships returning from Sothis all night. So after cobbling together a Viper MK3 at Hauser, me and another player tried to stop him. While ultimately unsuccessful we at least allowed a couple of passenger ships to escape their interdictions.

While the above ended up weaving itself into an interesting little narrative, these encounters are hideously unbalanced. The penalty for dying is far greater than that for an unprovoked attack on another player. Ultimately this drives people away from open. I would like to see some sort of PVP contract system. So of players don't have the means or ability to take players head on they could at least place contracts/bounties upon them. This would encourage players to pursue those bounties and encourage PVP amongst those who want too.

There are already bounties in the crime and punishment system. The last CG I was in. The top CMDR bounty was 52 million.

Yeah, the game in its current form does little to deter anyone from crime, open is like the wild west!

Yes unfortunately there is some unbalance. If think deeply pirating and powerplay pvp is can adjust for those that chose so the one attacking clean ship particularly in the medium to high sec system should be hard in consequence as there is no excuse there is no point, then there is the problem that at cg or some point where different power supporters will definitely join. Perhaps engagement of the "enemy" faction can be green or a no go depending on system sec or cg with powerplay no engagement area like for example a station in need is story wise crucial atm than territory struggles and no power influences system declared a no fight zone again depending on system sec but then its only me and réflexion plenty of games to find a balanced solution.
