Complaints inbound...
'It's not fair, where's the balance? It's totally stacked against <insert faction>! Waah!' 🤐
I do not know how the tiers are made and I saw that the combat bonds values are equal. No special rewards either. I wonder what might be the grounds for complains here.

Just as a reminder:

..the Empire is in the right on this one!😉
Your evidence looks like a random tip-off location .... a crashed ship with data core for 1-1.5mil + some random canisters that include sensors. Those usually being anacondas or type-9s.

And if the empire is right, why not provide the evidence and ask for criminals to be hand over rather than trying to take entire system?

I cannot recall a random tip-off location in the middle of the bubble ever having Thargoid Sensors in it...

It's not on the Tip-off list, and tip-off sites normally have some text to go with the data core, which this one doesn't. Not conclusive, but it seems unlikely to be one.

It'll be possible to definitively test on the 12th if so - Tip-off sites like this have a 2-week lifetime, and since it was there before today it will vanish with the Thursday update next week if it's a tip-off.

LTT is one of the systems UA Convoys were reported in years ago - I was hoping the crash was associated with them (i.e. convoys as a clue to crash sites), but didn't find a crash in Timocani (another convoy location). I plan to check other convoy systems when I get a moment, as that would be cool (if probably unlikely).

Well, or maybe not entirely a coincidence - if the system was used years ago for secret Thargoid research, the NMLA may have more recently come across an abandoned lab and used it to obtain raw materials.
As I understand it crashes & convoys are indications of being on a path to some secret base - asserting that base was in the same system ... possible I guess.

Interesting that it's a PMF - maybe they just picked the highest-inf Imperial faction in the system?

EDDN messages don't have any trace of the megaship before 1 November, and there's a reasonable amount of EDDN activity in the system before then. But it's possible that it's been there since Thursday.

Perhaps some justification as the 6th system - unlikely to be supplied by the CG, so "look at how poorly they're being treated by the Federation" could be an excuse for the Empire to try to get them back.
I guess that PMF gets trashed a bit now 😁

I'll go for...
Feds have an insurmountable lead by Saturday morning. Neutrals give up on Imps around about then.
Most commanders capable of murdering enough bulletsponges to get in to 25% don't need the rank so won't be a factor. You could grind this rank in a week and skip the CG.
Feds: T4
Imps: T2

Alliance is making a play for the Coalsack ...
