CG predictions...

Kokoto does have hotspots, so I guess it can have cores 🤷‍♀️

A long range abrasion blaster? Can’t ever say that I thought extra range is what’s needed for them, but sure… interesting reward.

One thing that has drawn my curiosity, or more so, are these Powerplay CGs drawn up as a result of player activity or manually chosen by Frontier? Partly asking as I wonder if they’re trying to build up some sort of storyline here or just being opportunistic.

Maybe with core mining you can blast the chunks out a bit earlier but other than that I've got same sense really. Wider impact would be more useful....make up for my bad aim.

Would have helped more with Titan collections but maybe that will return in the future.

Manually chosen, I expect.

It's a result of player activity that this particular system is on the border between two fairly strong sets of Winters and Grom fortifications; on the other hand, those fortifications have been there for quite some time and neither side has made a particular move towards this system previously.

So that's suggesting the CG for the next fortnight is:
- competitive CZs
- Delaine versus ALD
- presumably won by ALD by a massive margin

And that then leaves us four powers which haven't yet had a CG matchup - Duval, Antal, LYR and Torval - which will presumably get them over the course of July/early August. Could be a pair of traditional rematches:
- Duval vs Torval over some sort of Imperial Slave hauling contest (Duval wins)
- Antal vs LYR over some sort of research data or materials (LYR wins)
or they could go for a less predictable pairing of Duval vs LYR and Antal vs Torval (not sure what about) for potentially closer results.

i would like a LYR one.... simply because i could get the inevitable cosmetic for being pledged to him. :)

failing that...... what i would really like to see would be a CQC CG.. albeit hopefully one not linked to K/D ratios or win ratios (because i am not very good ;) ) - or at least if it is any actual in game rewards beyond credits come just for taking part.

Rebuilding and Renewal After the Thargoid War

Six months have passed since the Battle for Sol culminated in the destruction of Titan Cocijo. With the alien threat repelled, communities across the core systems are beginning to rebuild economies, infrastructure - and hope.

Stations which suffered caustic devastation have long since restored full services. Local economies have bounced back and, in some cases, flourished thanks to the recent wave of new colonisation efforts.

Across the bubble both small ceremonies and large public events have taken place. Memorials for the dead, celebrations of brave pilots who engaged the alien threat, and spiritual guidance in the aftermath are common occasions. A memorial beacon deployed near the remains of the Titan wreckage in Sol draws visitors from across the bubble, the site representing both a crucial victory and a tragic loss of life.

Sociologists note a wave of emigration from systems heavily affected by the war. Many displaced by the loss of homes and industries have chosen to begin anew, joining colonisation efforts in uninhabited systems. "There’s pain in starting over," said one settler interviewed at the Senenmut, an Orbis station recently commissioned by CMDR StellarCartographer in the HIP 18085 system. “But there's pride too. We’ve survived. We’re building something better."

While Aegis and the superpowers continue to monitor for new Thargoid signals, humanity’s victory in the Second War showed a rare sense of unity against a common enemy. Commodore Morayo Orina of the Federal Navy summed up the mood at a Sol memorial service:

"The fight for survival revealed our flaws, but also our strength. We honour those we lost by choosing to live boldly.”

They’re on sale since they’re not part of the plot anymore, and people are less likely to buy them otherwise. I still won’t buy their overpriced merch.

No Aegis and the superpowers are just trying to look like they are doing something useful so they don't get their budgets cut before the Thargoids show up again in another 178 years.
On that note, where's that Titan salvage tech we were promised. Even if it is just so I (and probably many others) can get rid of all the Titan insides they have stored on their carriers in anticipation of a CG that never happened.

In part, to Frontier's credit, it has actually been six months since Cocijo went caustic nova. It happened on (by European and east US times) Wednesday the 18th of December. However I'm still not sure this is going to have much more immediate meaning. Frontier haven't exactly been inclined on dropping hints to when our caustic neighbors will return.

Yep, expecting something but not quite yet.
Too many PP CG's to go through, but will love it when it happens, as my FC is full of (useless as yet) Thargoid bits.

And I would absolutely love to do the Titans again, but won't go to the current Tharg areas as other things happening.

I didn't see that one coming: LYR vs Duval vs Archer as well. Though no direct competition between LYR and Archer, who are attacking Duval on two fronts.

All six systems involved are Duval Exploited systems, which on a standard balance of activities - given that Powerplay kills do score merits for both sides here - might actually be knocked down to neutral as a result of the attack.
(Given that Duval is in first place on the leaderboards and has no natural predators, this sort of thing doesn't seem unreasonable, though it might prove controversial)
