CG predictions...

I told you ;)

Anyway, I am happy that my practice aligned with this CG.
Now I can confidently solo kill few cyclops without repairing my hull(a kill costs me around 10% hull). I definitely have where to improve and I know exactly what and how.

P. S. Making 2nd AX combat ship. Could not start on day one as my ship was in Pleiades.

Last few hours were .. atypical :)

Though the same peak hour, and following the usual daily pattern - just with more kills (so doesn't look like people hoarding bonds for the end, more like people just worked harder - almost 50% harder)

Tuesday was right up there with the other 'big' days - despite only having 13 hours of data:

I do wonder if someone in fdev towers today is saying "Yeah, totally nailed it with those targets", or "Wow, never expected that" :)

Hopefully they will be saying "You know we really should actually start looking for the AXCZs button, maybe they can do 100B next time"
AXCZs come back and those CG figures will look like pocket change, imo.

Or both :D

There might be some minor adjustments being made to the next Anti-Xeno narrative at the moment ;)

Those results strongly suggest that there were a lot of CMDRs taking part who were new to AX and either took time to get to WHN, and/or had to build/outfit AX ships for the task. I'd expect the ramp up to be that much quicker for the next AX CG.

Yeah the only issue is whether FDev had some narrative based on this CG not completing. I'd suggest not as the total was (at the high end but still) complete-able. If they'd wanted to "rig" the result then the total would have been 200bn instead.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

On the plus side it's shown how unpredictable these things can be. I don't think anyone saw this result coming when it kicked off.

I doubt this week will change what happens at all.

"This week the Thargoids were beaten back, but this turned out only to be a small part of their forces, so they attacked again and in greater numbers in Witch Head / Bubble / Pleiades"

works just the same as

"Thargoids were only repelled in one system and so are pressing forward"

Much as we're seeing the Marlinists continuing to flee despite us not saving a single m/s last week.

(I'm not complaining as the stories are fun)

Edit: My next prediction (to be completely wrong :) ) is that the focus flips back to the Marlinists next week. Thargoids will come back in a few weeks having regrouped.

definitely this, lets not forget that the story(ies) are pretty much locked down for the next six months so they will have provisions in place no matter how a CG finishes

OT, but I'd like to thank you for providing the materials for all the tech broker unlocks on your carrier. Enabled me to unlock 2 I wouldn't have otherwise (of course I unlocked the shard cannons on another broker before going to the WH ...), and helped countless others. I say countless, because I don't know the number, but at least 2 I know.

That's pretty much what's on my mind too. Doesn't matter how the CG ends, a generic outcome is posted.

Reminds me of the greek oracle, making predictions:
Oh oracle, what will my child be, a boy or a girl?
Response: "You will have a boy not a daughter!" said in a monotonous voice.
Now to the simple peasant - if he had a boy, he understood it like this: "You will have a boy, not a daughter". The oracle was right.
If he had a daughter, he read it like thiis: "You will have a boy not, a daughter", with the intonation on "a daughter". The oracle was right.

It would be interesting if the Thargoids got a little smarter in their planning and hit us somewhere unexpected like Colonia.

How about, no! Transferring AX ship to WHN was bad enough. I am building second for duties in Pleiades.

Although, I have several ships in Colonia. I will simply ignore any AX combat there.

Is the Tech Broker still discounting anyone?

And if so @Factabulous is your FC staying a bit longer?

I predict another Tharg CG this week or next week...or Arf LS isnt as leaky as it was :)

Yeah, I'm waiting to see what happens on Thursday :)

As speedcuffs says - inara has a few FC with useful cargo in the area, worth a check (y)
I've sold 11 Guardian Beacon Ancient Key.
What the...
Aren't these tied to a specific site?
Maybe it's just antique collectors. 🤷‍♀️

Now I feel dumb...went all the way back to the bubble and wandered around collecting missing bits for the Guardian unlocks I wanted - didn't even think to look and see if a nearby FC was offering any of them!
