For sure, FD had been working on their own schedule for Beyond this year. Plus these new guardian space structures look more awesome, mysterious, spooky etc. than any designs from NMS.
Ah. Always best to go off the originals rather than someone else's paraphrasing, in my experience. The main things is that article using the word 'first' indicates there were more. However, the original logs talk specifically about 3, and don't imply there were more. The logs explain that the development of FTL comms happened while the Arks were en route, and that the use of the arks kept the population issue under control long enough for FTL travel to be developed which then fuelled their expansion into the galaxy.
There nothing to indicate that any of the 3 arks weren't successful in their missions. And realistically, they'd be to the nearest habitable planets/systems.
And the thing is with our successful colonisation missions is that we see no sign of the colony ships. Presumably that's because those ships represent huge amounts of processed/manufactured resources which would be used by the colonists. I would think that this would apply even more for the Guardians given their ecologically conscientious nature.
I could be completely wrong of course, and it would certainly be an interesting development if it was one of the arks - it'd just take a lot more explaining than it being a latter day ship IMHO!
Cool,i get ye. Maybe cannon would have been a better place to go to get the actual logs. Just thought it was interesting and that people would know whats meant by it. I can see how it could be confusing though.
Guess we will find out the 28th what they are.
Your probably the man to ask,has there been any other structures in the game so far that orbit planets/are in space that are not of human origin? I cant think of any.
No, only Thargoid sensors which are small objects by comparison.
There wasn't much in the trailer for me personally to be excited about, you can't see anything really.
A second thought makes me wonder.. if that is a running ship, maybe we might actually meet some guardians?? Probably unlikely given the current story.
*shrug*
Hopefully ignoring the patch will give it a chance to exceed expectations (of nothing).
This looks awesome. I can't wait to watch it all on Obsidian or Plater.
Ring me up when there is something new to do...
Have you recognized the Human face in that picture? Below the guardian triangles, right hand.
Edit: How to put in a picture on a mobile fon?

How is a base-building game with chibi-planets competition for a space-sim?Thank you NMS, competition is always good......
