Clean drives don't really seem to help much with what they are "supposed" to do. The increase to thermal spread is counteracted by the increase in power draw, which leads a near insignificant change. All you end up with is a marginally faster ship with significantly increased power requirements. Can we get a rework to clean drives allowing for less power-draw then stock and dirty, so that the thermal benefits of choosing clean drives isn't counteracted by it's negative effect? I have spent many materials and hours engineering clean drives, only to discover that the time+mats were essentially wasted. We can even set up a cg to implement the rework lore-wise, and allow the old clean drives to stay just like legacy engineering does. I don't really care if another negative effect is put in to place for balancing reasons, but as it is right now, there is little to no valid use-case for clean drives with the Mamba possibly being an exception.. And only because the Mamba still has such horrible thermal spread despite the community asking for a fix. So on that note, I would prefer the Mamba to be thermal-buffed as well, but that is a topic for a different forum post.
