So the "Sitting" is a "Standing" as i assumed. And the launched would be Intamin then not Vekoma.

  • Arrow Looping Coaster (Corkscrew)
  • B&M Dive Coaster/Machine
  • B&M Floorless Twister
  • B&M Flying
  • B&M Hyper (even though it says Giga, lol)
  • B&M Giga
  • Morgan Hyper Coaster
  • Vecoma SLC / Giovanola / B&M Two-seater (Suspended Looping Coaster)
  • B&M Four Seat Inverted
  • Junior (mouse/spinning maybe?)
  • Intamin Hydraulic Launch Coaster (Impulse Coaster)
  • B&M Stand Up
  • B&M Wing

Thanks Periocus. It actually might be a Vekoma. Look at the spine. It's smaller than a S&S/Sansei. S&S spine is fatter on their launch coaster. But for IP sake, it may be a mixture of both. Track being Vekoma, train being S&S.

Edit: OK an Intamin train, Vekoma track.

Intamin Train

Vekoma Track

I edited the text, because i typed in wrong. I have a bit of a problem with thinking and writing.
Sorry.

The one we saw in the Stream is more inspired by the Intamin ride i guess.

Actually I'd say it looks a lot more like Ring Racer that was at the Nurburgring which was an S&S compressed air launch ride.

I say that because Intamin have an extreme central spine on the track and the car has similar restraints.

I disagree, I think it looks almost 100% like the Formula Rossa coaster.

Edit: They also pretty much confirmed that it was modeled after that one in the stream.

That's their older models. Double spine, single spine (one shown), and flat are what they use now.

Flat is the one closest the camera, the rest is double spine.

Cool, didn't know they've completely transitioned to that style of track. Love Intimidator 305 btw :)

The train looks similar because it's designed like an Formula one car, but so is Ring Racer. The track used on Formula Rossa is very different as it uses Intamins dual spine track like Skyrush, which is similar but has another circular spine attached below the other spine. The coaster they've added has track with on one spine, which Intamin don't use for launch coasters. But S&S and Vekoma do use it.

Interesting. In the video you can see there are two sliders for the LIM drive.

Traget Speed and Acceleration Rate. (Well three, but two are for the shot itself)

I didn't catch the dual spine of the Rossa. I was looking at another section of the track that had a single spine.

I'd argue that they didn't model that coaster after ring racer. As you can see in the image further up the page, Formula Rossa absolutely has sections of track that are single spine, and those look almost exactly like the one from the pc video except the braces are further spaced apart. That being said, it also does look like the S&S track from Ring Racer, but I believe with the train style they were shooting more for a formula rossa feel. The biggest thing, though, is that they said the top speed of the launch would be 149 mph, which is the exact speed that Formula Rossa reaches and a good deal faster than the speed that Ring Racer reaches.

I am REALLY looking forward to the "Scenery Lock" and "Auto Tunnel" tools [big grin]

As for the coasters, B&M Flying and Giovanola Inverted.

OP, thanks for posting the YouTube link!
