Your mum.
must be a slow news day"..
Good thing I have a plugin that changes Comic Sans to something else.
I don't get why so many people hate comic sans?

Yep I read it, been deleted.
If you mean the post that copy-pasted the reddit post, it was me. And yes, it was deleted without explanation.
Has the reddit copy/paste thread you started soon after been deleted too?

Gotta love these "EVE" like player imposed "blockades". Easily defeated with a simple solo/open switch. They want this game to be an open only sooo bad they are practically foaming the mouth. They are used to their actions having some kind....anykind of impact on the community. Now these days it's: "I'm Sorry...who are you guys again? Oh a minor role-playing group posting in the forums......must be a slow news day"..
Although you have to wonder what it says about people who choose to enter any form of conflict with another group while hiding behind these mechanics to protect themselves from what would be ingame reactions and try to remain anonymous doing it.
What it does do though is justify so many PvPers claims that PG and Solo shouldn't exist as it does not create a level playing field in allowing only 1 form of defence or attack being Solo and PG PvE grinding only.
Personally as a PvE player who accepts that PvP is part of the game as are player factions, attacking people even economically from PG or Solo smacks of cowardice and has the same impact as an exploit.
I'm all for non PvP modes, but using them as a way of safely attacking a PvP group doesn't seem right to me. If you are too scared to meet them and fight them on home turf, then you shouldn't be able to hurt them.
And before the obvious comments start (and just to make sure I get moaned at by both sides) I would expect the same in reverse so if a PvP group wanted to attack a declared PvE group they would have to accept that the PvE grind is the way to do it and they can't insist the PvE group change their game to suit them.
But for an aggressor to hide behind game modes so that their attacks are secret and not take what would be the consequences of being the aggressor is just plain wrong.

It's also just a game, and the "rewards" are nothing more than a field of text changing.
See why so many people don't give a damn?
…
So what exactly is BGS manipulation and why do people do it?
It's doing things that affects the BGS with the goal to create certain BGS states (boom, war, expansion, lockdown…).
All PvE actions of player affect the BGS and some PvP actions affect certain BGS states.
Often the goal is give a certain faction control over facilities (stations, outposts) in a system and if the main station is under control of that faction the system is controlled by that faction.
Some players adopt factions and player groups can get a faction in-game (with the name the player group wanted that faction to have).
Manipulating the BGS is a fun and almost - if not completely - pure PvE activity created in a way that the modes are completely irrelevant. In my opinion the only really balanced activity in this game.
Since some players care about the faction they adopted and some even think that they control that faction or that by having a faction that controls the system they control the system - they are mistaken, they don't control the faction or the system - they can get very attached to those factions and as a result get quite annoyed if an other player group tries to harm their faction.
All this is done by doing PvE activities - and this annoys PvP centered players even more as PvP is the worst way to affect the BGS.
Ah right. So it's basically powerplay-lite?
Don't know why it's been deleted.
In essence a player group has been harvesting IP addresses, for what ever reason.
I'm not going to repost it, but it's the top post on Reddit.
