Code Interdicting at Diso..

I'm all for player generated content. Indeed, I've long argued for it over the years but I am beginning to see what people argued against when they spoke of the group control as found in EVE.. lolz can't believe I am saying this to be honest. However, if we are to have player created factions (i.e. clans) it should be something all groups have the option to create rather than such a privilege be bestowed on a selected few. ;) And whilst I have no personal issue those you mentioned what makes those groups so special?

Heh, I'm surprised you said that too :)

Power Play will give people factions to rally behind - It will be interesting to see what the other alleged RP groups do about this : will they join a power and get behind a cause (and indirectly align themselves with other players to hopefully stop murdering them) or will they use RP as a means to wantonly continue on their own self serving agenda like before ?

PacalB .. that you ? :D

If you have any complaints about members of The Code, please visit our Complaints section @http://thecodeelitedangerous.enjin.com/forum/m/27784528/viewforum/5172398 . We'd prefer it if you had video evidence as I do tend to take my crew's word over stranger's.

You can, however, be assured that no Code pirate will kill you for no reason, nor ram you in stations, nor make your life unpleasant more than robbery necessitates. I will not stand for it.

Finally, thank you for noticing that most of the time you meet The Code in wings of 3/4. We like to call this magical concept 'organisation'. Yes, we're cowards but as I have been known to say from time to time; "If you find yourself in a fair fight, you haven't prepared enough'.

Fly safe and watch out, we're behind you.

Tend to take your crew's word? Understandable point of view to take, but if CODE aren't like normal, be sure to be open about it and not entrenched.

The yellow section, that is complete and utter hogwash. You may hope for it perhaps on the public facing, but it's just rubbish. But thanks for the laugh there. :)

Organisation? Ok. Admitting your cowards? Most people knew this about CODE already. But regarding the wings and fair fight comment, this really does "suggest" you purposefully target single or 2 wing players. Smh...

As pirates would do. I can't imagine where the idea that pirates indulge in fair fighting has originated from.

Not considering they may not attack other pirate groups for better treasure as it were. As to your second sentence, I think some don't fully get the honour among thieves concept. Overall it lends credence to the negative and likely true things said about them in their general demeanour.

Honour among thieves isn't compulsory and tends to come from a certain type of romantic fiction. I also stand by what I said in the post above. It's the Code of the Code, the very thing I coalesced my group around.

Go play in a group, play solo, play open and expect that or quit.
Really? This is your advice; quit? That's the most myopic and shortsighted opinion I've ever experienced in a multi-player game.

OP - You are going to encounter all sorts of play styles during interdictions. Some are Captain Courteous, others are mute rabid dogs. If you play in Open you're going to get this from time to time. If you expect logic in every encounter, you're going to be disappointed at some point.

A modicum of consideration would have gone a long way.

Remember the "pay me" quote from Goodfellas to put the pirate thought process into perspective. I can't post it here because of the TOS, but it's easy to find.

Fly with insurance, have shields and SCB's for when you need to evade and good luck out there.

Stand all you want, but watch out because you are on incredibly flimsy ground. The Code of the Code means nothing when there is those who break it, who go against it without repercussion. Your leadership and members constantly ignore it going by the many reports in the forums.

I've said elsewhere that I have no problem with the idea of groups such as yours, indeed it can add something to the game. But if you really want your group in game to act by this code, then you better get a grip on them. Otherwise the majority that read the forums will keep laughing at you.

Had I known that you would want names as it were, I'd have taken down the names or screen grabbed before I destroyed your members who tried to attack me...for no reason. I even sometimes record my streams.

Further, having read some of your forums, given the way your people behave there, all I can say about taking their word is smh....laughable.

I am the King of France and I once ate an entire building - Majinvash

Its posted on the internet and it must be true.

All these reports are drenched in salt.

We have asked repeatedly for names and even better some video to back it up.

All we get its erms, wells and oh it had to be Code.. Cos.. Reasons.

Still waiting.

I love this idea of the code. They are the type I like to hit on simply by morality need. Where can I find them? Still in Diso?

Sighs, you're forgetting the old adage, no smoke without fire. The thing is, the players attacked by CODE do not need to prove anything. Your groups reputation precedes you and there is enough ways for people to verify for themselves whether people are involved or not.

The reports are certainly far from drenched in salt as you put it. And as to the "on the internet = true", the same could be argued by your members where they have stated that you don't do these things. But given there has been posts where they have openly admitted to such actions in breaking your code...you can find them easily enough.

I haven't seen anyone around there for a couple of days. Last reports received indicated they had partially run away, sorry I mean moved to pastures new.

I'm glad to see you worldview of 'If I keep saying it it must be true' has not mellowed.

Also, you're the smoke without fire. You also have forgetten/never heard about confirmation bias. People, and there are many, who have had no problems with The Code doing something that the GAME ALLOWS do not come onto the Forums. Plus the false flags coming from enemy groups and the number of people complaining ratio to the number of people interacting with The Code is very small.

As to it being a bit quiet in Diso. We're going were the traders are, which are various. We operate out of the Lave cluster but are not tied to it. We cannot, also, be everywhere at once or be in every instance generated. Also, there is the fact that a lot of people have become burnt out and will be back when 1.3 hits, which is what happened before 1.2.

But, forgive me, I've interrupted your stream of consciousnous high horsedness. Please, carry on.

Okay so now you're getting into insults. Not a level I personally want to get to. But to answer you, it is more than one person, it's more than one group, it's different types of gamers, different types of groups. Smh...

I'm well aware of confirmation bias. But it really doesn't come into play here. I've testified that I've had personal experience of your group trying to attack me as have others. This is us observing it and can be called empirical evidence.

Okay, if they are false flags, can you give us something that would corroborate this? I believe the ratio is higher than you think. But at least you do acknowledge there is complaints.

And again with the puerile insult...no need to degenerate if people aren't with you. Smh...

Oh, give over with the moral superiority. You've been snidely insulting The Code, spreading disinformation and unempirical evidence for months now.

There is nothing I can say to change your mind as I don't believe such a thing is possible. Therefore, I shan't be wasting any more breath debating with you. Enjoy your pyschological need for the last word.

I have no moral superiority on this matter. There is just nothing out there to support your position and stance, plus I used to be in a debating society in school. I suspect you are possibly picking up on elements of that.

There has been no conscious insults, I happen as do a lot of others, to be of the opposite point of view on things. I've spread no disinformation about CODE, nor postulated theories as you allude. It is simply that the balance of data and information is against your group. As to changing my mind? It's happened before, I once wrote a long post on the old STO forums where I'd got something wrong.

But thank you for admitting defeat. It's very gracious of you, however I'm disappointed again in the thin insult. That seems to have been a common theme in your posts.

Safe travels Commander.
