Possible change for Waypoint 2
There have been a lot of reports of commanders disconnecting from the game on jumping into a neutron star system. Upon relogging, a fair number of them end up in normal space in the jets of the star and are either destroyed or suffer a great deal of damage.
According to this thread, Frontier Development is aware of the issue, and is recommending pilots avoid jumping into white dwarf and neutron star systems until the next update (2.2.02). Because we don't know when that update will land, and because the Blue Lilies Nebula waypoint (waypoint 2) is a neutron star system, I'm recommending that we avoid that waypoint and instead meet at DUMBAA PS-R C18-2660 6, instead. That system is less than 2 ly away from the Blue Lilies Nebula, and has a spectacular view, along with an earthlike world.
It's possible 2.2.02 might drop before we're due at Blue Lilies on the 14th. If it does, then we can happily meet at the basecamp in the neutron star system. But with about 100 pilots in the expedition, it's statistically certain that some of us would be destroyed by disconnects jumping in, and I just can't in good conscience recommend it.
The plan then is we will shift the waypoint to DUMBAA PS-R C18-2660 6, unless 2.2.02 hits by November 12th. I'll make another announcement on the 12th about the final decision on this.
