How about a quaternary political layer?

We have minor factions; we have major factions, and the excellent Powerpant in the middle. That's only three.

What these message boards have been crying out for, is something even *more* intermediate and complicated.

(That's nursey coming now - sorry, got to go..)

I try to avoid the general negativity in the forums and threads like this. But in this case my evil side got the best of me :

I know what it is, they are finally going to put a use the the tablet between your legs, It is going to run the 1984 Commodore 64 version of elite in cockpit for those long trips. :)

In the devs answer questions thread, they said walking around and such is a long way off.

PL would be a lot simpler, especially since you can get away with not doing that last layer of detail that you'd need to have if being up close and personal on foot.

I really hope it isn't expansion news...or if it is, it is coupled with "here is everything that was missing in the game, sorry it took so long but we felt we had to do it right and didn't want to ruin the release with half-baked code"

Something being colossal, at least colloquially and not relating to Colossus, is super subjective. I think if we went by my wife's use of the word colossal in the bedroom, we'd all be a bit disappointed. She's really nice to me :p

The wiki page for the Colossus Computer has a reference to a 1970s sci-fi film called Colossus: The Forbin Project... I think it's about a rogue government supercomputer that becomes intelligent and takes over the world.. Isn't there something in the Elite universe Lore about rogue AI that are far out there in the Galaxy?

Could it be non-Thargoid, AI NPC antagonists to be introduced?

What we need is a dev that has a track record and a stellar reputation working in AI, a dev who could inspire the customers to head this...
