Common suggestions to improve Elite: Dangerous

Multiplayer

I would like you to add a mode where 2 people could go to the same station and both board one ship and have a kinda co-op where they could play together like in the anaconda you could have 3 people in a group chat each managing weapons, helm and modules ect

Think it through...

Imagine playing for two hours... controlling just modules... Would you find that interesting? This is as well thought out as, "it will be awesome when we can walk around stations!" :)

For multi crew ships to work, the mechanics and gameplay to endorse it needs to be introduced. Ultimately it could end up be a bore fest!

- Bounty tolerance; I find it odd that security ships will attack allied ships with relatively low bounties just as easily as they will for non-aligned ships. one alternative is to add a degree of tolerance depending on rank/relationship with the relevant faction. For example, a Baron in an Empire controlled system with a 800 credit bounty might receive a warning rather than laser fire.
.

This is a great idea!!!

Visual Change
The Shield's should have a numeric indicator as well as the Hull Armour. Maybe have the shield indicator where the armour value is on the dashboard, and have the armour indicator just below it.
Having the shield strength only as a 3 rings around the ship doesn't really tell you anything as a pilot.
It would be a huge benefit to have a numeric value to your shields if you have Shield Cells equipped. At least this way you can time when to use your shield cells in a firefight.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned. I assume there is a reason behind this, i.e. it's not a bug but nonetheless, I found it confusing to I reckon its worth mentioning here:
On the system map, it seems that if you have a ship stored at a station then above the station icon is displayed a blue/can icon which looks like an Elite wireframe ship model.
On the galaxy map, it seems that if you have a ship stored anywhere within that system (like the station in the system map, mentioned above) then a similar (not identical) icon coloured red, is displayed above the system/star indicator.

Assuming my understanding of the two icons is correct, then it would seem like a good idea to make these icons identical in terms of design and colour.

I would like to see a simple tab where I can see all my scans that I have yet to turn in. Similar to the transactions tab.

Also, all the "endgame" ships are big behemoths. Even the FDL is a big long Cadillac. I would like to see an endgame ship that's all about agility, speed, and firepower. Small hull size, but big enough internal modules to face off against pythons and anacondas still. Good size hardpoints, like 2 medium, and 2 large. Basically the mighty mouse of the ships.

1.5 x a Vulture then?

I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but what about the ability to set multiple waypoints on one trip so you don't have to keep programming in/selecting objective systems/stations if you are on a long trip. Gets monotonous reselecting a long term aim star/station every time I stop off on a long journey (or am I missing some functionality already here?).

I like the captains log idea, of being able to see where you have been etc.

I've linked CONTROLS/TARGETS/TargetNextSystemInRoute to F11 key & thus I can reselect the route if I decide to dock 'here' (claim bounty/sell charts/refuel or explore).
The problem is that the route does not survive at program exit :( :(
e.g. a half baked Idea.

-" in ship lights". The ability to turn lights on inside your ship so you can tell the difference between space and your canopy while flying in dark areas of space.
-"point of reference reticule" a reticule you can enable when near space stations that would point in the direction you're facing, to help you line up with the letter box.

Dear Frontier, please consider:
1. More diverse and fun missions. Perhaps even a campaign of sorts?
2. More ships that are not so expensive to trade in-between. Why not a market for used ships? Or a possibility to let players rent ships from each other?
3. AI-crew members.
4. Upgrade the onboard computer please! I want to be able to save e.g. commodity market lists. Of course they should not ba available in real-time but it is annoying as hell to have to resort to third party tools or pen&paper. It is also unreasonable. I could do the corresponding tasks on a dirt cheap computer/phone even today. Why not in 1300 years???

Force telemetry data for your ship (Pitch, Roll, Yaw, Surge, Sway, Heave) that stays in a fixed place in memory when Elite is updated. So that people with motion simulators can get motion from elite, without having to hack into the program and search for these values every time there is a program update.

OR allow a safe call into ED requesting that data 'from the outside' or allow the setup of a timed call-back from ED.

Some of these may have already been suggested. If so, please let me know. Difficult to wade through nearly fifty pages of thread when I have limited time. :)

This thread falls under the Navigation/Exploration category, mostly, as I'm on my first trip outbound. I'm only about 1200LY from civilized space. I'm relatively enjoying it, but playing smart requires a lot of excess time in the Galaxy Map staring at each individual star for both fuel and multi-star issues. In keeping with cutting down time spent in UI and maximizing time spent flying:

Multi-Star Display
Currently, multi-star systems only show the secondary stars when targeted. Simply focusing on the system should suffice for displaying additional stars within a particular system and cut down on time spent checking entire route.

Separate Route Tab
Once you plot a route, a route tab lists all your destinations in one column and the star-types detected in another column. You can click each line to zoom in on a particular star for checking the secondary stars for safe approach vectors. The list would also tell you the star classes so you can plan your refueling stops much easier.

Alternate Vector Reroute
Currently, if you have a route planned and find yourself needing to target an off-route system for refueling or entry vector, your entire route disappears. Adding in some kind of "reroute" feature, even if you had to pick the star to manually add on to your route, would help immensely when you're in the deep and you lose track of stars past the alphanumeric soup that identifies them. You get to keep the original route you plotted, but add or remove destinations as needed. Could be managed as part of the Route Tab.

"Visited Systems" View in Galaxy Map or list in a menu
In addition to lists likely proposed elsewhere, a filter for systems you have visited would mostly be nice to have, more than anything.

"First Discovered" View in Galaxy Map or list in a menu
I know I'd love to remember the places that I am credited for getting there first.

Again, sorry if these have been addressed elsewhere. I don't recall seeing these listed in the first post.

What about combining the top left and right screens of your HUD (chat and info screens) and put a tv/broadcast/radio monitor on the top right that could be used as rear view, remote view, vid comms, variant radars (if modulated), GALnet NEWS broadcasts, or even onboard radio/mp3 player.

Many of the potential options are mostly just gee-wiz kind of things, but some (like variant radars, rear and remote view, and GALnet NEWS broadcasts) have definitive tactical or game-immersive potential and could even be given a slot to outfit them.
