Sorry to chime in late - while I don't care much about Fleet Carriers and community goals (leave me alone, I stay in solo and don't have time to play anyway), having spent half a career in software projects I still think that fixing bugs is a result of not doing a good job implementing the features. While I approve what I'd call a consolidation phase before going for the next release, the projects I've seen that needed there ran very badly and had a quite instable code base. Beginner or half-hearted devs, little testing, over-ambitions release plans. It's okay if that happens - that's life - but the big question is: what measures are taken that it won't be becoming necessary again?

Even so this October will most likely be better than last year October. Ups and downs are the normal thing in between updates. If you look year on year this year seems to have on average a very similar concurrency than last, and slightly higher especially in the last 4-5 months. And the record instantaneous concurrency was achieved in Jan this year (or December) if memory serves.

At any rate it does not seem to be dropping in any significant or unusual way.
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue pays better. :)

FD had already had the luxury of a consolidation phase witht the laughable acceptance by everyone that we should call Beyond a 'Season' in which they would bug fix & improve quality of life. Although free it was the trade off of not having any new content. The base game player is still waiting and should but is not commended for their patience. Salt anyone...?

It is strange that there is no mention that FC have been put back in the newsletter..... Almost like it's catastrophically bad news or it's not going to happen... FAKE NEWS...

Well the newsletter I received has:

Firstly, thank you for all of your feedback on the September Update, which you've shared with us on the forums, across social media, on livestreams and through the Issue Tracker. There is no doubt that, in addition to the new features, the September Update introduced a number of issues and bugs which caused a lot of frustration. We are really sorry for these issues. We realise that some of the issues had an impact on your ability to enjoy Elite Dangerous. The team have been working hard to address the most critical issues and have already released a series of patches and updates to bring those fixes in as quickly as possible.

However, we know there's more to be done. You've asked for more focus on existing bug/fixes and issues, and for the community to be better integrated into the development process and testing for these upcoming updates.

In order to improve your overall experience, we have decided to refocus our efforts on addressing key issues and bugs. Since the launch of the September Update, we've been taking a deeper look at our internal development roadmap, the way in which we utilise public betas, and the content of our next updates...

So maybe they only hate me...
