Forgetting something or did these count? About leopard subspecies. Amur subspecies' biome was most different from the rest of the leopard subspecies.

ZT: Spotted leopard's location was African savanna and nowhere else. Black one's was Asian rainforest.

ZT2: Only black leopard and its locations was African rainforest.

I am definitely in the minority... but, the more I think about it, the more I'd welcome the Ethiopian Wolf. As far as "wolves" go, its a good one to add. Aside from not being found in captivity. It has some jackal traits. It is found in an unique habitat. Lastly, its beautiful.

In what ways does that make it better then just a jackal, when being "jackal like" is the only thing that sets its apart?

I prefer an actual jackal, specially the black back jackal, than the ethiopian wolf.

The ethiopitan wolf is honestly one of those animals from the ZT roster that i'll be ok with never being officially included in PZ. I rather get a lot of other animals first.

I believe you missed one the gorilla in zoo tycoon 2 is the mountain gorilla a different species to the western lowland gorilla also zoo tycoons 1 gorilla species is unclear as its called the lowland gorilla which could refer to either the eastern or western lowland gorilla 2 different species.

In the original Zoo Tycoon it was just "Lowland Gorilla" with no further specification, so it could be the western lowland gorilla.

My bad the games wiki marks it as the eastern lowland ill change my post because you are right. Zoo tycoon 2s gorilla is definitely not the same as planet zoos though.

Yeah the Wiki has taken a beaten over the years. At one point someone had added like 15 animals to the official list that were never in the game.

The ZT2 gorilla was the mountain gorilla.

Nah, there's at least a distinct visual difference between the giraffes. You could tell the Masai and reticulated giraffe apart on sight. Can you do that with the gorillas? No.

I'm not even sure other gorillas are actually kept in captivity. I know the mountain gorilla isn't. Is the Cross River gorilla? Or Eastern lowland?

Edit: a quick Google tells me there are (or recently were) two elderly eastern lowland gorillas at Antwerp Zoo but that's it.

At least with different giraffe species and subspecies you can be sure there's a precedent for including them.
