Respectfully, tell me what your point is about "testosterone poisoning." (and why you decided to add a =p after it)
My edit was what I intended to write initially. The point I was trying to make is that people are people. And if we spend our lives vilifying one group because of the actions of one person we are not only harming others but ourselves as well. I will not add further comments in order to avoid any further misunderstanding.
You did decide to bring up 'testosterone poisoning' though. I'd like to hear about that.

Ive read somewhere that humans (or at least males) will ackknowledge a female voice better then a male voice when under stress, appearently tied to some child/mother psychological theory.
Historically a mother will calm and instruct a child while the father will punish and dicipline.
Of course, since most pilots have always been men, it migt just be because they fancy female voices.
I welcome the idea to be able to install a wide variety of voices though.

That was a (possibly misplaced) attempt at a joke as I tried to indicate with the =P and following with the next statement beginning "in all seriousness..."
I have in fact been treated pretty violently by some men I have encountered. And you do not see me making statements that all men are violent. As for the OP...

Excessive testosterone use by body-builder types (sold under the guise of Human Growth Hormone) does cause mood swings and violence.
As an alternative voice, can we have Darth Vader please? eg "I find your lack of shields disturbing"

The idea of people paying more attention to a female voice rather than a male voice was a popular notion for a while. It's been largely discredited.
The real point is, it doesn't matter what gender voice we hear in the game. Gender is nothing but a social construct. Further, there is nothing in this game that is sexualizing either gender.
I'm pretty sure we can move on with no worry of malice.
However, if folks want to throw around terms like 'testosterone poisoning' and the like, things can get weird... really fast.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned - a nice idea might be to have different voice sets - male and female - available as pay-to-unlock. Could be a nice source of income for Frontier as well.

Though there are a very real physical difference between males and females, what is there to say that there cant be mental/psychological differences aswell.
No matter the case, though, I tend to expect us humans to act well above primlitive and instinctual behaviour due to our evolved intelligence and in principle we could adapt just and rational ideas over primitive and traditional ones.
There should be no reason for a male fighter pilot to acknowledge female voices over male, but IF he does for whatever reason, its better to put a female voice in the ships warning system.

Oh dear he doesn't like the female voice lol. Some of the most famous computer voices in movie and TV have been female. Alien, star trek are two great examples. I'm loving the cool calm English tones of my computer voice.
What I would absolutely love to hear is a female Japanese voice doing the commentary inside one of the stations.
