Console Copy Portal : 'Database Error' [RESOLVED]

Greetings Commanders.

With the release of the 'Console Copy Portal' we are seeing reports of several of you hitting continuous 'Database Error' when attempting to complete the process.

This is currently looking to be due to potentially linked to one of two issues:

• One being the fact that your desired Commander name is potentially taken and the error isn't triggering (because you're moving through the process quite quickly).
  • I can't believe I'm typing this but whatever helps at this point: Try and slow down a little with moving between steps at this very busy time. This could help.
• Another resolution could be ensuring Javascript is enabled.

We have identified an issue on web side which could very well be the primary beast in the mix, if none of the above solve your issue.
We need to roll out a fix for this which is due to be embedded in the portal in a round an hour. Please do try again at around 19:00 BST.

Have tried multiple CMDR names; often get 'name taken', but otherwise I'm clicking through as quickly as I can and still getting Database Error.
And picking many, many CMDR names ain't easy, yo.

Have tried a multitude of names and have gotten "name taken" for about 2/10 that I've tried. Unfortunately I think it's due to the volume of requests and not the names. I can be patient though, it's not like the world is about to explode.

This is currently looking to be due to the fact that your desired Commander name is taken, however the error reasoning is not displaying as such, which is no doubt causing some understandable frustration.
Really, very sorry for this confusion.

If you can look to choose a different Commander name on your next attempt, the process will hopefully complete successfully for you.

Getting database errors trying to use my old PC user name with copied profile...
I deleted my save, and shouldn't my user name be associated with my account to reuse?

Does the cmdr name being in use issue, apply to users who just deleted their save within a few min of trying to transfer?
Otherwise, can you also confirm, deleted cmdr saves names will be available to the original user for this process?

Like if i just deleted my pc save before trying to transfer, and i want my console-to-pc save name to be the same as the old cmdr, does the deleted cmdr still "count" as a taken name?
