Yes on ignoring stuff you do not need however, some of the mats that drop along with Arsenic are very rare and also collectible such as Cadmium and Ruthenium so, food for thought . . .

I have plenty of those in hand, so I don't collect them, I have a good stock of items. When I go out, I have a specific target. FD is very good at distracting your game play, like USS popping up when you are going somewhere. Have to stay focused.

Amen to that. Last second interdiction in-front of the station, last second USS popup before the jump...
I always put my throttle to minimum when charging FSD. If no USS pops-up (during the last few seconds before the jump) -> full throttle. Sorry for off-topic.

Please FD, flick the shower switch marked "Chemical Manipulators", and "arsenic" while you are about it

I think those are fairly balanced. Takes a little looking but you can find them, not in the same league as Cif by a lang way
