All these ideas to get people to play in Open...
It's kinda funny, because the idea of different modes was always for them to be equal in every way other than being able to directly interact with other players. This also comes from the kickstarter days where Offline mode was a thing but got scrapped along the way.
This "you only get this or that if you play in Open" thing won't ever fly with Elite, which I am grateful for.
Open isn't like the intended way to play ED, but any mode you are comfortable with.
Maybe some people would sleep easier if they'd get that.

I personally wouldn't want, or think having open play only (i.e. no solo play) would be good for elite. so no, I would not support that idea.

And from what I'm reading, you aren't being trolled, you're being disagreed with.
maybe you should read it more? They've been trying to say I've said something I didn't say and have repeatedly. They keep pulling my words out of context, and claiming I am saying something I am not. When I clarify, they repeat. Not sure how that is disagreeing with me. Seems an a lot like trying to put words in my mouth to me.
That's ok though if you feel that way. For me, I don't condone or support trolling. Not really a big fan of making rational choices based off of emotional standing, either though.
