Game Discussions Cyberpunk 2077 - official gameplay

I’m going to add my two cents to the bullet sponginess of enemies. I’m playing on easy, because FPS gameplay was never my favorite kind of thing, and I know I’ve seen several NPCs take several shots to the head before going down. Which is downright bizarre, given I can snap their necks with my bare hands if I take them by surprise... and “Body” was my dump stat!

I’ve also ran into my first glitch: a hat changed my character’s hairstyle (in a way I liked), but when I looked in the mirror, I was bald! At least I found out the full extent of the facial tattoo I chose...

Hunting down the rogue taxi cabs is so far my favourite side activity.
I loved the suicidal one, and the GLaDoS impostor.

It was a great surprise that they actually made a real character out of Del and it also made me realize that basically all characters I've met are really great and give off a nice feeling of depth even after just a short conversation.

One of the favourite things about the game so far is probably the way dialogues happen and it took me a long while to realize WHY. To have a freedom of movement during the convos really make them feel... real. Not a scripted/cinematic event, but a real conversation between people. You walk up to a person and start talking, you go check their music collection and posters in the corner, look around their appartment, sit next to them,... all that while still talking to them. I think that's just a brilliant way of doing the interactions and while I generally don't think CP2077 to be the "revolution in gaming" some people were suggesting, I do feel like this is one of the innovative approaches that should be more widely used in future games.
Mass Effect immediately springs to mind - another game with great characters and well-written dialogues, but looking back at them in light of CP2077 way of doing it, they feel artificial in comparison.
Aye, the converse is the same. NPC characters will fiddle with their buttons or other objects like glasses or papers whilst talking, shuffle around on the seats, get up and walk away, change seats, turn their back to you, pour drinks...all whilst continuing the conversation...During a recent conversation with one of the characters...I kept thinking, "Stop fidgeting, woman..it's distracting!" :D

Since the game won't even start on my best system, I'm going to wait for a few patches and some mods to fix some of the issues (enemy durability and the presence of invulnerable characters).

There's no PS5 version yet - that's not coming out until sometime next year (it'll be free for owners of the PS4 version). So there's that.

But it seems to run pretty well on my 1080Ti. It tried to put everything at 4K Ultra to begin with, which was predictably a slideshow, but on High and with pointless motion blur turned off, I get about 45fps at 4K. Which I'm happy enough with.
Stupid question, call me lazy😉 I know we can look it up but I love a real conversation🙂
Do we get the ps5 version if we buy the ps4 version and are the save games from the ps4 useable on the ps5?

v1.04 is out. Has some crash fixes, so those who were having trouble might want to try again.

It's 58Gb though

Definitely 58Gb for me...and picks a time when my interweb is utter garbage... I'll leave it downloading and head off to bed.

Incredibly vague patch notes, but I'll give it a shot now.

On a different positive note, GOG Galaxy is no longer providing those “connection errors...”

...

...

Come on! I gave you the perfect setup for you to pop up that dang connection error dialog box! Can’t I rely on you for anything? Come on, CDPR, can’t you even do wrong, right?

I was in game when I had some stuck graphics issues (UI text right in the middle of the screen) that refused to clear...I came out, verified the files not knowing there was a patch out and for some reason I got that 58GB download rather than the 600MB patch...

That sounds like a bug in itself. Unless your install was ridiculously corrupted somehow.

Either way, bloody hell. :(
