D+ What a Disappointment

I am a huge fan of Frontier and I have defended them from what sometimes seems like and entire community of complainers over on the PlanCo forums, but JWE doesn't deserve to be defended after playing it. This game was clearly rushed and near as I can tell was just a way to get the studio some quick cash.

I have genuine hope that someday this game will be amazing, but that day is not today and sadly that day is probably a long way off. This game should have never been released in its current state. The dinosaurs look and sound incredible and I think they hit it out of the park on their looks, however, their behaviors and animations are lackluster and limited. The motions of the game are tedious and uneventful and it makes me mad/sad.

I used to think Frontier was passionate about their games and their customers, but this shows me that money is their main and perhaps only concern. I guess in the end "we all need to pay the mortgage". What a disappointment.

I'll just wait here while you go make the perfect Jurassic park game.

If you can see that this game is dripping with the fact that they are true passionate JP/W fans than you are blind or something. This game isn't perfect sure, but it's pretty good and I look forward to playing it when they do get around to updating it. Like planet Coaster it wasn't perfect on launch either. They updated the game over time.

You don't have to be that mean to him, he does have some valid points. While I love Jurassic World Evolution, it does have flaws and some
not fully developed parts of the game do make the game seem like it was a bit rushed by Frontier or Universal.

I'm not able to make any game let alone the perfect one, but you know who is??? Frontier. They could have made an amazing game, but instead they rushed this halfway finished game. I am sure their were some deadlines imposed on them from Universal that contributed to the unfinished product, but none of that changes the fact that it isn't finished or good.

No one is being mean to him. He is just whining about things that have already been talked about. Frontier will most likely update the game down the road. The game just launched. He needs to give it some time.

''I'll just wait here while you go make the perfect Jurassic park game.''
That is what he/she said and for some, it does sound rude and sort of mean. Can you stop calling that whining?
It irritates me and others with people that use insulting and rude terms... I don't want to be hating on you, but that's
my opinion.

Not sure where you get the 'clearly rushed' - assets all look good, no crashes, pretty good. Islands have a varied challenge, Sure, if you spend the whole time looking at dinos in closeup it probably doesn't hold up - but as I've been playing I don't get that long to gaze before I need to go fix something in the park.

Talking of which ,...

:D

The only ''clearly rushed'' things I found while watching videos were the Giganotosaurus, the lack of animations
and maybe the sometimes abnormal dinosaur behavior. There are other flaws and issues but there are a lot and
I don't want to list everything.

I wasnt trying to insult you, I was trying to get the point across that not everyone can make a video game let alone a perfect one. I would like to see you tell of of the developers, coders, animators directly to their face that they are not passionate about their game or customers and only worried about their wallets. These men and women have likely put thousands if not tens of thousands of hours into creating the game. If anyone is being overly critical it is not me.

It's got to be easier to work on your own IP, working at your own pace without breaking contracts or triggering penalty clauses. The attraction of self-publishing, I thought, was precisely that. Maybe having to get into bed with Comcast/Universal was a price worth paying by FDEV for getting that head start via familiarity with the JPW brand. "Planet Dinosaur" might have been a better game, and probably taken longer to release, but would be unlikely to get the kind of sales figures.

Its TenCent who is the player here. Biggest mobile game company in the world. This IP will be leveraged by more than the movie.

I love the defense of "the game just launched, he needs to give it some time." Are you really suggesting that it is appropriate to launch and unfinished game and we as the consumers should be happy to pay for it and then quietly wait for the finished product? In no other area of retail is this acceptable, why would it be acceptable in gaming all of the sudden???

No the op is clearly whining.

That is the norm. The game might be lacking in a few areas but it is a dang good game.

The game is functional and playable. They got it out the door on their scheduled release date. Now we just have to sit back and play the game while Frontier works on it some more. There is really nothing that makes this game unplayable and unenjoyable.

Other than the raptors going berserk for no reason what so ever. Other than that this is a great game. Also bestinslot is right about the sauropod glitch.
