It comes down to priority inversion, and I've seen it from just about every major software company. Too much effort spent on NEW SHINY THINGS, comparatively nil effort spent on fixing bugs that have been there for ages.
Elite would be a solid title all on its own, as it exists, right now, if the long standing bugs were fixed. I mean without adding a single new feature.

Also, OP got banned?? For what? If he has opened 12 threads about the same topic in the last 5 minutes I can understand, but really? Fair enough, he could've skipped the tone, but the first response from moderator wasn't exactly what to expect from a person to uphold civil order on the forums. A simple answer with a link to a statement from FD with all the bugs they are aware of *oh wait* [rolleyes]

What's really depressing is that this situation is only ever going to get worse as they steamroll ahead adding increased complexity over the top of long standing and newer bugs.
All the while treating their playerbase like mushrooms.

You are welcome. It doesn't list all bugs though (for example they often don't list issues they are still investigating).

probably in 6 months, that's how long it took to fix heat weapons.
They weren't bugged though, that was a matter of balancing.

uh, im not game developer but i do know programming and how it usually works, but...
i think that words "hotfix" started being used for patches that were needed pretty fast because of game breaking bugs (aka not being able to play with wingmate because game freezes, 2.2 feature and many more)
leaving players like this for weeks not being able to do conflict zones together, especially for people who participate in powerplay wings is very gamebreaking, frustrating and makes player quit the game..
and following patch that takes a bit more time to fix all other moderate and minor bugs that doesnt obstruct in way of letting player play his game...
im starting to think sometimes that developers at Fdev dont have much idea what are they doing and are pretty green, no offense just constructive criticism
P.S. amount of whiteknights in this thread is ridiculous
