Dear FD when you plan to patch BETA on live server?

They never rushed anythink (to be precise exactly the opposide, delaying any major release up until now)
But managed to introduce always more bugs into the game (exagerated, sometimes they are able to kill some). So if i would asume some logic, maybe they should start rushing?

Just like the never ever working multi stage mission, they where bugged from release and they keep beeing buggy in the passenger missions. I realy appreciate your patience, but beeing patient over two years now, makes me only feel angry.

You don't understand. Rushed = still containing bugs = too early. They can delay updates 10 times, as long as it contains bugs it's a rushed release.

Wrong sir, they've been rushing everything due to manchilds keep pestering them omg when is the next update? hurry hurry fdev. Thanks to these manchilds we got this buggy release :( Why can't people just let FDev do it at their own pace...

They absolutly should! Don't get me wrong i don't demand patches or hot fixes or anythink like that. I demand that they take the time to finish there product. Yet you say they release it because of the people? Do you realy believe that?
I think, release times are tied to financial billing and business decisions and are not any more tied to a working product. Thats what im trying to point out.

You will never get bug free software at time/price that customers will accept.

Obviously. But that doesn't mean one shouldn't try to find a balance. In any case, the update will be released when FDEV thinks it's ready. Some will say it took them too long, some will say it was rushed because it didn't fix all bugs / introduced new bugs. Its a lose / lose situation ;)

I've had a great day and all i have is a big :) for you all. This kind of disscussion is not going to get the patch out any quicker it's just going to give you high blood pressure and granky pants syndrome, I'm on a break myself trying some long overdue new stuff out but if it's really that bad and your not exagerating, just play something else for a while, I'll let you all in on a little secret mono gamers are unhappy gamers because you will forever be waiting for the next patch.

Fly safe commanders.

Forums are, always have been and hopefully always will be a place where we can vent our frustrations. Im royally fed up with ED but happy in other areas...like the campaign in doom which I shall hopefully complete on ultra violence...thats the only way in which nightmare difficulty is unlocked after all. I wouldnt even be playing that game were it not fer the mess they made here, but the point is I am not a mono gamer who limits meself to one game. Took about a week to get that far, so have a fun distraction fer the next 2 weeks approx...after that we shall see...maybe go back to gta5 fer a bit and try their new content.

Id much prefer to be playing this...but not in its current state. Not overly happy about it but neither is the sky falling down.

This lack of communication from FD is even more depressing that recent night.

I can't understand any possible reason for them to be so disrespectful to the customer base.

If the patch will take 3 weeks - that's totally fine, but please someone from Cambridge, TELL US something?

Are we in constant position now to question when a 'bug-fixing' patch will release now??? What a nonsense...

It's not that it takes three weeks, they don;t care enough because they are making money on the roller-coaster game. They are doing what pays them. Unless we are going to pay them (because we have not given them enough money or something).. they will not focus on it at all.

When this game is good, I would have no issues whatsoever in paying fer it...when its like this, I wouldnt even recommend it to those I dont like. I would be perfectly happy with a monthly subscription considering I kept multiple accounts fer 6 years in eve which was never as good as what ED was...but....others will disagree and thats ok...makes the times we live in interesting.

A hotfix for the worst issues would have been nice. Other games I play manage to get game fixing patches out as if it was important, as if they said "we are staying late, because the tens of thousands of people who collectively gave us millions of pounds, and who may potentially give s millions more, are not happy with our product". At the very least they could have some trained customer service reps respond to the complaints and issues, with real statements, instead of letting volunteer moderators have to deal with it. It is actually not fair on them, they were only supposed to check peoples behaviour, not act in the defense of the company. I mean, we had a statement form Michael Brookes claiming missions payouts were fixed now, and would not change again unless FDEV messed up. Did he even check his own game after patch? The worst part is, some of the 2.2 improvements are really good, and add so much more to the game, yet a couple of sticky problems threatens to make the whole thing stink.

I have tried to make a contribution aswell. Please find below 2 links if you want to know what is litterally... bugging us... it's not a rant, it's not a complaint, it's just every day facts we deal with, that cause the number of online players on my friends list to drop at an alarming rate.

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/304393-Fdev-your-killing-our-player-faction!?p=4734238#post4734238 (This post and the whole thread)
https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/306044-A-list-of-new-and-old-bugs-most-of-us-encounter A list I posted on the bug report forum.

Now, I guess all of you are aware/familiar with all of this. But I would like to get this to the attention of some actual employees, not just the commanders who face this every day. Please take a moment to read this carefully.

As much as I like being critical with FD, I think we should try to stick to facts that can be proven.
Brett, I think, replied in another thread that RollerCoaster is a different team and there's no resource competition. Also, RC to the best of my knowledge is in Beta and not generating revenue at the moment.
Would it be better for ED if all developers that work on RC would work on ED? Probably. Is it good for the company to have a 2nd revenue stream? Probably.

If FD state that work on RC does not delay ED then I'd take that as fact for the time being.

Wrong.

Source? The last comment from Michael Brookes on mission payouts is that there are issues and they are trying to fix it.

EDIT

There's an issue with delivery mission rewards that is being investigated.

Ye hit the nail on the head actually with this line...I have no issues with the actual content, and I do like the concept of the likes of passenger missions that give haulage a whole new perspective. If there wasnt so many bugs, I would be happily playing the game instead of sitting here flexing my hands to have another crack at this level of doom Im stuck on.

As much as I love ED...and I really do love this game, which is about the one thing we can all agree on...there was a point made elsewhere about mono gamers who play just one game. I play several so while this would be my first choice so to speak, I can at least distract myself with other stuff while they fix this. Im still salty because ED wont be a first choice forever, and that would be a tragedy because there really arent that many space sim alternatives. I do love my fps games but got a weakness fer space sims and even as bugged as it has become, there are still no real viable alternatives.

Not yet anyway...clock is ticking on that one though...

The investigation apparently is very time consuming. You'd better start solving it.
