I have an HMC with 7 slots on the ground and 2 in orbit. I was trying to think the best way to build it up. It is terraformable. It certainly doesn't seem to add a Terraforming influence. Harder to tell if it does anything else.

anywhereDoes anyone know if it matters where a build's prerequisites are? So if I'm building a Tourism settlement, does the Satellite need to be in orbit of that planet or can it be anywhere in the system?
Economies update (change) only when you build a new construction ATTACHED to their location.Ahh of course - okay that makes sense... so...
Does this mean that the MINUTE i finish this coriolis around the HMC, my otherwise healthy refinery market is gunna start splitting its sales between refinery products and frickin weed killer? pulls hair out
Yeah so the coriolis is being built around a HMC with the refinery hub on it.Economies update (change) only when you build a new construction ATTACHED to their location.
So if you have a refinery somewhere else that works its not gonna be changed. Unless of course youre building a coriolis below an existing one or something.
for all we know until now, yes.Economies update (change) only when you build a new construction ATTACHED to their location.

just don´t finish the Coriolis, you still can assign another 4 building tasks in parallel in that systemMy kingdom for a cancel button!!
Yeah so the coriolis is being built around a HMC with the refinery hub on it.
The original intent was to build the coriolis so I had orbital L pads, then build more refineries below to further improve the economy.
Right now there is...
Refinery hub -> Civvy outpost -> Coriolis Construction
All same world.
My kingdom for a cancel button!!
Didn't get any payments this week. Now playing poker and Shooty Boats instead.well, isn´t that theidea behindthe whole point of colonization? To develope markets which are more near to current expansions?
Although I can relate to that as I am building Depot-Systems along my chain as well.
Positive side-effect of that - as your markets are frequented, it has positive influence on BGS and therefore happiness - should increase your payouts/royalties
Oh yeah, good idea!No idea how this will work with 2 stations.
Posting a picture and type of planet would help in collecting data, or answering questions.
Honestly all joking aside I'll probably finish it - even if I dont finish it first?just don´t finish the Coriolis, you still can assign another 4 building tasks in parallel in that system
edit: ....and pray that not some doofus comes along and finishes it for you

Industrial consumes almost all Agricultural exports and Agricultural consumes almost all Industrial exports, so mixing the two probably will lead to a lot of missing exports (some of which might show up as imports)The planet is rich in phosphorus (12.1%), but no atmosphere and no Agricultural influence. I laid the station down along with a space farm before the whole "now planets influence economies" thing and planned it to be my dedicated agricultural "silo", but this whole thing is now out the window. Does Industrial economy convert Fruit and Vegetables into Leather or will it leave it intact?
Well, that's just splendid, isn't it? Nothing but ice balls in my star systemIndustrial consumes almost all Agricultural exports and Agricultural consumes almost all Industrial exports, so mixing the two probably will lead to a lot of missing exports (some of which might show up as imports)
Would guess that'd end up as Agricultural (atmosphere/composition/bio) + Industrial (icy planet) but worth a try if you want one of those and don't mind if it's something else.Another option, blop an outpost around the 1st planet which is phosphorus-rich, has 100% nitrogen atmosphere and has a biological thing, see if that has agricultural influence:

Would that data point be useful?
Well, that's just splendid, isn't it? Nothing but ice balls in my star systemGuess I'll need to wait it out until we get some official word about how this thing is supposed to work. I mean, sure, planets affecting economy makes sense in case of stations around ELW-s and gas giants, but it should only be limited to non-landable planets.
Great thread, thanks to all who are contributing. Adding another data point with an Orbis I just completed...
