First, sorry for my english . This is not my original language .

Wow, you're too strong for FRONTIER , the game not even a month, and you already think of paid content . You know that your game costs 50 € ? Do you also know that it is empty ?

No, because before thinking out of the paid content should think about the finish this game because there it 's worth the € 50 it is worth € 20 no more.

Besides this game advertised as Multiplayer , nor will that Mars? Are you serious? Mars? Without screwed , I bought this game for the multiplayer and I'll still have to wait until March to play with my friends?

No, but please stop the drug, I'm going to get a refund !
Another Kickstarter that fool from the jaws of the world!

Paid content? You mean the Beta testing? That's optional man, nobody is forcing you to spend money. And besides, you'll probably get it just a week later.

Live commander gets transferred to Beta, right? But all Beta progress is not transferred to live version (I assume).

Also, do we need to wait for a full content update for the Clipper mass disruption fix?

I don't have the full details at the moment, but beta test will not affect your commander.

Yes that will be fixed in 1.1.

Michael

Michael, don't even bother making beta access available again. There are tens of thousands of backers already able and willing to test it, and you'll avoid the hysterical reactions seen here.

Not really...they would only be replaced with:

"OMG! Why can't the rest of us test this? Will we never get the chance to get access to Beta again!? Why not even give us the option!!!"

They've said pretty much from the start that the game will not have an autopilot. I agree and think that the game really doesn't need one and if one was introduced one day I think it would be about as popular as the docking computer is currently in the game.

An probably just as useless ;)

We aren't planning an autopilot.

Michael

What about for Super Cruise? It's boring having to stare at a countdown timer until it hits a certain number so you press a button. As for those saying that it's a good thing there will be no autopilot - what's wrong with a choice for having it or not? Options are never a bad thing, people.

You honestly see no problem with this? I want to help them, a lot of people want to help them, they should want a LOT of people to help them, but before they can help them, they have to give them additional money?

W.T.F.?

Seriously.. NO OTHER company does this because it is in VERY bad taste. Every MMO and even just multiplayer games (BF4 for example) has a PTR (Public Test Realm) that is free to all gamers to download and try out the new content, give feedback, bug reports, etc.

im going to post in case someone didn't already. DICE lets only bf4 players with PREMIUM to CTE and IIRC console gamers weren't invited

"OMG! Why can't the rest of us test this? Will we never get the chance to get access to Beta again!? Why not even give us the option!!!"

Pretty much that, yeah. Damned if they do, damned if they don't!

Thanks for the update, Michael, and for your continued involvement in this thread.

...nothing more than late alpha or very early beta.

I don't think many late Alpha/very early Betas look and play like Elite:Dangerous, that can't be a fair comparison.

Some people have technical problems; there are (inevitably) bugs; more content is coming (as was always planned) - but the game as released was a playable product, considerably more stable than some others I have played!

Options are never a bad thing.

Until they prove to be a bad thing, of course. I could ask for the option to change my ship for free, but I can't see that being a long-term benefit to the playability of the game. You wouldn't have to do it, of course, but you'd probably be the only one not haring about in a Fer De Lance or some other swanky boat and therefore at a severe disadvantage.

V1.1 will also have a significant increase in the maximum distance for the route planner. We’re currently looking at extending this to 1,000 light years!

Does this mean (hopefully) that there will be an option to focus the route planner toward a specific destination in order to get that route in a matter of seconds?

Or are you just optimizing the performance of the current "plan routes to ALL THE PLACES!" algorithm, such that we'll still have to stare at the map for a minute or two before it finally gets out to where we want to go?

Excellent news. Any chance you could include a sell all button for exploration data please?

Oh yes! A sell all button for exploration data would be great.

Talking of the slightest of tweaks.. The StarNav has been really useful. I'm looking forward to the range extension. But could you stop it from resetting back to "Economic Route"?

Super excited to see such a passionate developer who is very involved with the community of gamer's. Thank you for the updates and effort you and your team are placing into this game! Looking forward to the future updates!

Really REALLY not liking this idea. Why should we have to PAY you to HELP you? I know of no other game that does this. You limit the number of people that can test things, you divide your playerbase and not to mention, you just plain old screw your customers.

Seriously, this isn't like early access. Game is out. This is seriously, deeply concerning and makes me question supporting you and any future endeavors in the future.

You don't HAVE to pay at all. Some people have asked for this F:D are offering it. If you don't want to pay for Beta - don't.
