Im a backer of Efrom KS - and I understand the game didn't make the kind of money SC did - but I am a little disappointed with the lack of updates and invovlment of dev with the community.
Not sure if its a Frontier thing - but if a neophyte like Josh Parnell who is making Limit Theory can be so deeply be in synch with the community with virtually daily updates working solo on 1/10th of the budget of this game and monthly hands on realy time game updates- I'd expected Eto give us more than a rare "talk" video by Braben with no actuals once in a while!
If the guy is working solo on his game (and fair play to him) all that time he spends interacting with the fans is time that development is standing still. The fact that Frontier has dozens of staff that need paid and managed not to mention likely other projects they are involved with means commitments beyond the scope of Elite: Dangerous, so I’m sure they are spread pretty thin on the ground.
As others have said its early days yet, but one thing to bear in mind is that some the Dev's including Mr Braben himself are also involved in vetting and approval of the fiction synopses (15 for the anthology alone) to make sure they don’t contradict anything in the elite universe. So with all that and building the game going on I'm quite happy with the updates, and thier frequency so far.
