Distant Worlds II - Fleet Roster Sign Up Thread

On my way to the second waypoint and already showing up on the fleet roster.
Unfortunately i've lost my editing link and decided to change my krait phantom to an imperial cutter.
Already sent a message to the email adress with my roster number (14432)and the changes... I hope they will update it.
Greetz from the endless darkness Cmndr Indigojohn.

i did the exact same thing a couple of days back. Got an email this morning saying the change had been made. Thing is i tried mining for the first time in the cutter last night and have now sent for my Krait II hahaha. The cutter is horrible to perform these actions in but would be great for the Bounty hunting CG so will try that over the weekend too. im really not sure which one i want to take into the deep black. gonna try mining in the Krait tonight maybe that will make my mind up. the higher jump range and better view are already giving me a headache. Cutter just feels slow, unweildy and blind.... and thats with 8A G5 Dirty thrusters. fingers crossed i get into the PG but otherwise its mobius all the way for me i think.

Hi Lawrence,

The first thing you need to know is where the expedition is headed. You can get all that info from this post : Link

To bring you up to speed, the expedition is currently heading to Waypoint 2 in the Omega Nebula, where there will be a week long mining community goal to help build a new space-station at the galactic core. If the CG interests you, more info on that is here: Link

The fleet won't leave the Omega Nebula until Jan 27th - that's when WP3 will be announced on the first link I posted above.

Fleetcomm PG is closed as is the FC server for the time being due to massive backlogs, but if you don't want to do DW2 in open play, check out Mobius group: Link

For in-game chat with fellow explorers consider joining one of the Squads that still have spaces open (EDSM and DW3S). You can find them in-game, via the right hand panel, squads, search squads. This is a good chat-substitute for discord servers if those aren't available.

You can follow updates on Twitter : Link

Or Facebook : Link

The DW2 website contains links to everything DW2-related : Link

The basic premise of the expedition is to follow the route and submit your discoveries (if you want to) to this thread: Link

Travel at your own pace (avg. 2 hours per week is needed though), make friends along the way, and at basecamps learn about the projects and events to take part it - that's the basis of the social aspects of these kinds of events, but you're quite welcome to do DW2 alone or with a wing-mate.. its entirely up to you how you want to experience it.

I'd recommend you read up about as much of the expedition as you can if you're late to the show - its a long journey, 18 weeks just for the outbound trip, so its something you need to be sure that's for you.

Fly safe o7!

Many biggest gratitudes to you, sir! Will do my best once I'll embark on the journey with others.

Hi all. I registered yesterday for DW2, and see that I am now on the roster (Roster #: 14436), but wasn’t assigned a ship id. Is there a way for me to determine my assigned ship id?

Woopsie, stupid formula oversight, they're coming back now, sorry :D

DW2 Fleet Roster is now closed.

Additionally roster amendment are no longer available.

A secondary 'latecomers' roster is available but this will not be administrated or presented anywhere, nor will any amendments be made to it.

The secondary roster will close on February 17th 2019, as this marks the end of Stage 1 of the expedition.

This 'latecomers' roster is purely to collect data from late sign-ups and will be looked at in the spring, when we'll merge it with the main roster and update the whole lot in one go, present it, and archive it. To sign up to the latecomers roster, click on the 'sign me up' tab at the bottom of the screenshot on Post #2.

Final count on the main roster is 13,021 (still doing some tidying up so this may change).

The final final count (once the latecomers roster is added) will be posted here in a few weeks time.

My husband, Wrongway, decided he would like to also come on DW2 and signed up today. He now appears on the roster, but doesn't show as a participant on the EDSM website. Is this likely to change, as he doesn't want to start if his progress isn't recorded.

Q is still processing the last few hundred applications. My guess is that when he's done, he'll crash EDSM by uploading all of them at once.

As long as your flight logs are on EDSM everything is calculated (almost) on the fly.
Nothing is never lost!

I'll run another sync on Monday morning.

I can see EDSM is not logging my trip, is that because I did not start from Pallaeni? or do I need to install something?
I'll fly back to the start point if needed.
It's ok I found this https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/138155-EDDiscovery/page2

I think I may have to return to the start...

I am back at the start beacon, EDSM api key added to EDDiscovery, here's hoping!

I have a question on the EDSM website, it is still listing me as zero % with 'no flight logs' in the participants section of the DW2 expedition. Yet I am getting the badges through & it is listing my journey but I can only see that in 'My profile' section.
Have I got it working? & will the EDSM site update later to confirm my start at Pallaeni that is listed in my journey today?
