Thanks for posting that last video Cat. I've been poring over your plans and have been trying to parse what's going on and that video has made things a lot clearer.
In this frame:
I take it we're looking at the components listed on ThingiVerse assembled:
I'm assuming the different coloured components are arranged like this:
In particular is the white piece not shown on on ThingiVerse?
And is there a small bering placed on the red pimple that is being pressed down by the bottom corner of the brown block?
Also, I assume the hexagonal holes in the brown block are to capture bolt heads which are used to bolt the two halves of the block together and thus clasp the shaft of the joystick:
But what is the 'mouth' cut-out of the smilie face in the brown block for?
And in this frame a little later on:
I take it we are basically looking at the same thing with the bottom of the blue block pushing down on the red bearing:
And finally at the end of the clip we see the other side of the blue piece:
But what is the idea of that tab on the bottom of the blue piece?
The reason I'm asking all this is I am considering trying to build the same assembly at about 3X the size using plate steel and I'm trying to workout if it's feasible.
Cheers,
Slarti.
