DLC 19 Speculation

Honestly I think the idea if a Rainforest pack could be super cool, and while not realistic in the slightest, we could cross off a lot of wanted animals this way.

Rainforest Pack
  1. Black Howler Monkey
  2. Black and white colobus
  3. Tree Kangaroo
  4. Grey crowned crane
  5. Roseate Spoonbill
  6. White faced Whistling duck
  7. Lowland Anoa

For a rainforest pack I would love multiple exhibit animals, but I will happily take good scenery too. Also as if it isn’t obvious the WFWD really just is that duck. Adding it into the game we could get an amazing mixed habitat species for tropical Africa and South America. In this pack alone I made sure you could get those inter species enrichments right away. Likewise the WFWD is also Madagascar rep! I also wanted the lowland anoa to pair with the tree kangaroo for South East Asia rep, and I think it’s a cool ungulate.

Helmeted guineafowls would be cool. Not my most wanted bird, not even my most wanted african "land" bird even, but would be useful and different. I would not complain.
Honestly I think Frontier really fumbled the bag when it comes to mixed habitat African birds. I mean we could have got:
  1. Grey crowned cranes
  2. Helmeted guineafowl
  3. Marabou storks
  4. Great white pelicans
Just to name a few, and so far all we have is the ostrich and flamingo.

Now that you say it, a nice DLC idea would be a DLC featuring animals that frequently kept with other species. It would allow to fill in that neglected genre.
Not saying it's too realistic, or an urgent need at this point of the game. But it would have been a decent idea, say, 1-2 years ago. Capybara would have been a great flagship animal for this pack.

Something I thought of today: India animal dlc. But then I did some thinking.
India has a good selection of animals, we have gotten a lot from base game as well as every now and then from other dlc. I found it odd that the sloth bear was added in Eurasia despite the theme. Caracals and others found their way in via biome dlcs.
Other Indian animals I can think of are
Honey badger
Indian leopard
Golden jackal
Guar
Onager
Gray langur
Great Indian bustard
Indian cobra
Now majority of those are not all that popular on wishlists, some of them are. Do you think frontier would consider an India dlc or squeeze them in with miscellaneous dlc?

Blackbuck
Gaur
Honey badger
Lion tailed macaque
Grey langur
Painted stork / Damoiselle crane
Indian grey mongoose
Indian cobra (Ex)

To be fair flamingo and penguin is a pretty decent one
Oh yeah, i just forgot we can mix penguins with animals that aren't other penguins or giraffes, definetelly gonna keep ostrich+penguin in mind.
Swan + Flamingo works in my head better than Cassowary + Emu. I generaly can't see a cassowary in any mixed habitat with it being so solitairy.

Swan + Chicken is also solid indeed.
i've actually seen emu + Cassowary on zoochat once, Granted, it was the northern cassowary instead of southern.

However, i've also witness rhea+ostrich once and even photographed it:

so ratites mixed with other ratites don't see so far off.

The total lack of an African crane, stork or pelican is pretty devastating honestly, an African shelduck would also be a pretty good edition as well

An India pack would be pretty solid but I think it should be mainly birds and primates and under absolutely no circumstances should we get the Indian Leopard
1. Hanuman Langur
2. Lion Tailed Macaque
3. Himalayan Monal
4. Sarus Crane
5. Blackbuck
6. Nilgai
7. Indian Mongoose
based on my records here is a pack of the most commonly seen south american animals
6 of which are in the top 10 and contains the number one pick the rhea
  • greater rhea
  • american flamingo
  • cotton top tamarin
  • patagnonian mara
  • scarlet ibis
  • south american coati
  • black howler monkey

side note the black bear is 13th above the howler monkey
This would be an absolute banger pack, we can only dream, hopefully we end up getting at least 2 birds and monkeys if we finally get a South American pack
