DLC18 discussion and predictions

I feel the exact same about exhibit animals! We should have gotten the butterfly treatment for each exhibit animal if that makes any sense...
Yeah if only we could get 5 of each in every dlc or at least animal packs. A couple snake skins that resemble for different species shouldn't be too hard in theory.
This combined with interspecies exhibits. I've always seen multiple poison frogs in an enclosure, I've seen multiple snakes in enclosures, multiple lizards, etc.
Not all should be combined, of course, but some should be allowed to

I'm still secretly hoping for the exhibit overhaul improvements, I know frontier looks at my wishlist they surely know the exhibit requests are the most popular by a huge margin.

People allways say "we got enough scenery" only for frontier to make a pack with banger scenery.
Id even go so far and say that the scenery has Consistently been just as good if not better then the animals in their pack with possibly south america as the only exception, so i see no downsides to more scenery being introduced

Point is, all these cutsey hamburgers on legs are far away from the top 50 even
They're not hamburgers yet! They are living creatures with the potential for happiness and love. Baby lambs and goats jump for joy. Cows are known to bond closely to humans!
Also I won’t be able to watch the stream, so I’ll look forward to you guys talking about it.

There is a 1% chance we could hear more news.

I genuinely believe that the farm animals are those that are initially ignored or disliked, but then turn out to be so loved. Like the llama, I don't hear anybody talk bad about them anymore, and I definitely love llamas

I’m still on the fence, while the barnyard pack doesn’t feel like the end it also very well could be.
  1. Animals + scenery
  2. Heavily requested features
  3. Whether you admit it or not, highly requested animals
I still feel like it could go the other way, but I don’t know

Feels like a simple yet highly requested cash grab to me that should be beloved by general audiences, which could mean anything really but lets just say this pack does really well and makes a good profit then its more then valid to continue dlc when even in yesr 5 they still make good money.
Im no buissness man but id rather invest into small and secure profits then gamble big in a time of money problems, which frontier seems to agree on as thats what the console port was, so why not continue that trend?

I don't think that there will be another DLC. :( IF there were however, they could do 2 7 + Scenery packs and they would get to the OVER 200 animals bragging rights. :)
OR, they could do an expansion pack of 7 habitat animals and 7 exhibit species???
Call me delusional but I'm sure we will have more DLC at this point :D. And the new format with 7 animals and some scenery is not that bad. I like getting more animals than the standard 5 and it still gives builders something to work with.

EDIT: Also, do people think we might see another pack similar to this one (i.e., 7 habitat species, no exhibit, and a small set of scenery items)? Because I honestly kinda really love the format. The focus on clutter and very general pieces is a very, very welcome change!
I really want more scenery, but the scenery i want is mostly decoration pieces and such.
Therefore id be totally down for more packs like this.
Something like 6-7 animals and scenery depending on complexity of the animals and what just works best for the theme

This is definitely where I'm at too. And, TBH, any of the wall sets I'd want or need are simple enough that they should just be free update material (e.g., clapboard). Keeping it focused on decor and minor (general) tidbits for "theming" and detailing.

This Barnyard pack will actually add quite a few pieces I've been wanting (troughs, buckets, the new fence) but I'm still hoping for things like hot wire, additional mesh, new railings, and so on.

Change One Of The Habitat Animals Into An Exhibit/ Walkthrough Exhibit Animal, And That Is The Perfect Amount Of Animals And Scenery For An Extinct Pack. Speaking About That:
  1. Dodo (Duh)
  2. Thylacine (Duh)
  3. Aurochs
  4. Bluebuck
  5. Warrah
  6. Great Auk
  7. Passenger Pigeon/ Golden Toad
  8. General Museum Props

The metawishlist is not the only means of measuring popularity. Wishlists are posted as pictures across the forum, Reddit etc and there are plenty of petting zoo wishlists with these kinds of animals.
Sure, but even then, the goat you see in petting zoos is universally the African pygmy or Nigerian dwarf goat. I've seen less consensus on pig and sheep breeds, but Kunekune/Vietnamese potbelly for the former and Jacob for the latter (actually surprised it wasn't picked--I thought Frontier would have gone for the crazy four-horned sheep that's also distinctly British) would have made the most sense.
