DLC18 discussion and predictions

Have you guys noticed the official Planco/Planzo dictionary on the official PZ page? It also list names of animals in game. The weird part is, I found words like "Hamadryas" "Baboon" "Civet" "Secretary"...

Would be pretty random to translate such words...unless they were used in Planet Coaster?
Well great. Next pack is just África again. Awesome.

  • Baboon
  • Bearded (Bearded dragon?)
  • Civet
  • Coral
  • Cricket (???)
  • Impala
  • Echidna
  • Eel
  • Goodfellow
  • Hamadryas
  • Hornless (not sure what this could refer to)
  • Javan (there's more location words, but usually they refer to a specific species, perhaps Javan banteng/rhino???)
  • Kraken (mythical animals confirmed!)
  • Leafy (Leafy sea dragon??? Wild wild guess, could also be a plant)
  • Lemming
  • Lizard (generic term, and we have lizards, but none are called so)
  • Macaw
  • Moray
  • Moth
  • Octopus
  • Parrot
  • Saharan (probably irrelevant)
  • Salmon (maybe as a feed)
  • Python (see next)
  • Reticulate (Reticulated python?)
  • Screamer (southern screamer?)
  • Sumatran (same as Javan)
  • Swallow
  • Tick (lol)
  • Turtle (we have turtles, but none of them are called that)
  • Unicorn
  • Vulture
Planet Coaster Packs : Cricket, Kraken, Parrot, Octopus, Tick - pirate theme and such.
PZ animals: Swallowtail, Blue Tongued Lizard, Reticulated Giraffe, Salmon Pink Tarantula
Unicorn, mammoth and leeming for giggles.

Only banger after banger.

It might as well be nothing. It is not any sort of confimation or whatsoever, just my observation that might be complete nonsense, lol. Plus if the "Goodfellow" is a lead to Tree Kangaroo, it probably wont be Africa but rather all around the world pack?
To me is either that those words are in there because there ARE plans to include them or there WERE and they were scrapped. I feel like hamadryas, goodfellow's and secretary are all too specific to no mean anything at all.

I think what they meant was simply that we can't take it as confirmation they are coming. Especially with "Howe" being in there and us already knowing that one was scrapped a while back...

It'll be interesting to see if Frontier goes and deletes any of these key words if/when they catch wind of this... :ROFLMAO:

I'm happy to see so much attention to the Planco dictionary, it's a wonderful tool for custom billboards that sadly isn't used that much by the community. It was a nice suprise for me when they updated it last year, but I wasn't cunning enough to look for hidden hints in the update. I didn't think that they would have updated it not only for the recent DLCs but also in preparation for future ones.
As some people has already said, we need to be careful with the most common names because they can be "false friends" used in Planet Coaster. Proper nouns are the key here for us. Hamadryas and Goodfellow (two of the most wishlisted animals in last months) look so good it's hard to resist to speculation. But then also Howe (the insect that was leaked years ago but never released) is a cautionary warning. I'm afraid we may be looking the ruins of an ancient civilization, things that were planned for the future of Planet Zoo and then discarded. Maybe even things that were still planned last year when the dictionary was updated, but then got abruptly disrupted by the layoffs.
Unless the Howe Island stick insect is going to make a comeback after spending all these years in the fridge... It could certainly be in an islands pack with some other of the "leaked" names: echidna, tree kangaroo, Java and Sumatra...
