YesAnd let's talk canines...
Semi-aquatic bush dogs would be kinda cool:

Tree climbing Japanese raccoon dogs would be fun:

New idea for the summer dlc - stygi enrichment for alligators!I could take him
I would say it boils down to the same reason cats and bears are generally unwanted: we have a lot.I really don't get the dislike for an additional canid. I mean, my most wanted animal the bat-eared fox IS a Fennec clone in a way. What I mean is the Grey Fox OR tanuki add climbing canid (which we don't have). OR the bush dog looks completely unlike anything in game. Are canids well represented? yes. but there are as many monitors as there are foxes yet people are ok with a new monitor. I get a new canid is far from essential but even a new color morph for already present canids would be nice...
I thought we were at 9 dogs (If you count Arctic and Timber Wolves as seperate.)I would say it boils down to the same reason cats and bears are generally disliked: we have a lot.
Don't get me wrong, I actually, even though I say I prefer other stuff, I'd love more cats and dogs and bears, but there are other animals I'd prefer.
But the base game had 3 bears, 2 dogs, and 5 cats. We then got a bear, cat, or dog almost continuously.
Now we're at:
- 11 cats
- 6 bears
- 8 dogs
Wait, I missed a dog then:I thought we were at 9 dogs (If you count Arctic and Timber Wolves as seperate.)
This list shows to me that dogs need to be added more than cats!![]()
Actually, I will admit cats are more important since people go to the zoo to see cats way more often than dogs...
For me it really comes down to that the only one that would add something different imo is the bush dog, but there are so many SA animals that have higher prio for meI really don't get the dislike for an additional canid. Wait, I missed a dog then:
I forgot the maned wolf
- Gray wolf
- African wild dog
- Arctic wolf
- Dingo
- Dhole
- Fennec fox
- Arctic fox
- Red fox

I appreciate the reply. The Bush Dog is most likely but I don't even see it happening because there are animals that are more associated with SA. UNLESS Frontier does an Amazon pack...For me it really comes down to that the only one that would add something different imo is the bush dog, but there are so many SA animals that have higher prio for me
I forgot about the sakiIf three new world primates, I would like the white faced saki, spider monkey and Tamarins.
This might be a hot take, but I actually think that we need only 2 more New World monkeys, let's say 3 if generous.
- The howler is by far one of the top animals to add, because it's charismatic and the males and females are so drastically different
- The spider monkey is energetic and would really benefit from the sadly underused brachiation system
Those 2 are the most important in my opinion...
For the 3rd possible monkey, maybe a squirrel monkey or even a 2nd capuchin (I like the tufted capuchin myself)
