DLC18 discussion and predictions

I still see the entries as well, and that’s from a device that wouldn’t have had them cached or anything. Also just figured out what my problem with Goodfellow was - the search is bizarrely case sensitive.

Did These words ever have showed up within the Planet Coaster Planco dictionary which you Screenshot? I have looked within the PZ dictionary and the words are still Here. And the First Observation within this thread refers to the PZ dictionary

Have you guys noticed the official Planco/Planzo dictionary on the official PZ page? It also list names of animals in game. The weird part is, I found words like "Hamadryas" "Baboon" "Civet" "Secretary"...

Would be pretty random to translate such words...unless they were used in Planet Coaster?

I still have them, they haven’t been removed yet for me! 😅

Ok, I've just noticed something. The names aren't present in the console version of the dictionary, but are in the PC version. Well at least for me

Does the console version also lack the other words that were added within the past week, notably most of the species from the Wetlands through Barnyard packs?

Same for me! My guess is that it was never there. It's like 11:30 pm in the UK right? Doubt anyone at Frontier is working right now and paying attention to the forum shenanigans. 😂

I doubt they were ever added there. The Planet Coaster console dictionary page also lacks all of the other words that were added (everything from platypus to alpaca), not just our hot button ones.
Actually to take this a step further, it looks like the site for the console version of Planet Coaster is using such an outdated dictionary that it doesn’t even include all of the base game Planet Zoo animals, lol. Forget echidna, it’s missing panda and rhinoceros, lol.

Ultimate wild card pack - one that's based off of mythology/folklore and real life animals that contribute to them.

Nile Crocodile - Egyptian
Jackal - Egyptian though I'm not sure which species Anubis would be, probably Golden
Baboon - Egyptian
American Black Bear - Native American
Coyote - Native American
Raccoon Dog - Japanese
I hate to burst anyone's bubble but the UK English planco dictionary has removed all mentions of secretary, hamadryas, and Goodfellow 🤣

That actually points more likely to these animals being in next, at least as I see it. Could still just be them having fun with it though, so don't expect it...but it seems possible.

Some assorted community favorites and "others"
Using those specific words:

Secretary Bird
Hamadryas Baboon
Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo

Using words that are from animals that are already in the game:
Nile Crocodile
Spider Monkey generic species
Spectacled Bear
American Flamingo
Brazilian Porcupine (pleeeeeeease Frontier!)

When I think again about it all mentioned animals could have fit into either the Arid animal Pack (Secretary Bird, Hamadryas Baboon, Impala, Civet) or the Oceania Pack (Tree Kangaroo, Echidna). Really, I think these were potentially animal ideas for the Pack which already were translated into planco but did not come to the game at the end but somehow landed within the dictionary. I really cannot see an Afrooceanian Pack coming to us and there are no specific animal names within the list from other areas (unspecific yes but this would be a big coincidence that only from These two regions specific animals are mentioned).

I agree that it feels like it would most likely be an afterthought wrap-up tasks, but who knows, maybe they have biweekly Planco brain jams to translate any newly needed words and whatever’s ready at the time is ready. The presence of all the words in "Lord Howe Island stick insect" does seem to suggest a disconnect between the animal team and the language team.

That said, I don't actually see "Howe" in the current dictionary, just the archived version. And I still don't see Goodfellow period. Are those that see Goodfellow using a different language version of the site than US English, maybe?
goodfellow has to be captialised to show up same with howe
