DLC18 discussion and predictions

Nothing screams mountain pack like a big party tent, easy to pin down in the uneven rocky terrain. Not to speak of the large trees, we all know they grow so well up in the high altitude.
Amazingly, mountaineers do use tents. Not every part of a mountain is rock, and even where it is rock, tents can still be pegged. Also, and this might be surprising too, trees do grow on mountains, particularly in the ranges of all the animals on the box art.

The tent in the key art is very clearly not a camping tent though, its points and windows are far more exaggerated. That's far more characteristic of tents used at outdoor parties like this

Camping tents tend to be more squared or circular, as opposed to rectangular party tents

I've crossed through mountains in Mexico and some have forests. Mountains aren't only My. Everest type peaks, it just mostly refers to large thrusts of Earth and rock towering high in the air. There are mountain meadows, big flat areas.

Theoretically the keyart could be 2 tents next to each other. If we're guessing at this point, we gotta see all the possibilities

I still stand by this being Collection type of pack. Maybe they are "honouring" all of our ideas for packs that didn't come to be how we imagined them: highlands, islands, forests, coastal, LATAM, etc.
At this point I can only see mountains and Latin America. We have had forests galore, we've had islands disguised as Oceania, we've had coastal with the Aquatic

If the dictionary's anything to go by, there may be 3 "groups" to it. Asia (Hamadryas baboon, Pallas's cat, markhor), Africa (Kirk's dik-dik, Coquerel's sifaka), and Oceania (Goodfellow's tree-kangaroo, short-beaked echidna). Anything else is probably gonna be a hook for PZ2 down the line.

Depends on the exhibit animal. If something like a chameleon or a giant salamander then heck yeah an exhibit. I'm not to excited about "festive" props tbh. Only thing i would really really love for pieces are mesh pieces, but like actually mesh set that is not a pain to build with.
Same here. Like I do like to get as many animals in-game before it ends, but if we get something kinda eh, like another inaccurate snake or whatever, I would rather take the scenery pieces, as we haven't gotten that many for about a year (the 60 barnyard pieces plus any random stuff we may have gotten in the free updates since after Oceania)

While all of this is true (besides this not being a tent for camping), the argument seems to be that it must be mountain-themed, because that is the first thing you would associate the animals with. Then why shouldn't this also be the argument for the scenery? No matter if they exist in mountains or not, mountains are not the first thing to come to mind when you look at a party tent and large deciduous trees.

I hope we get an announcement soon, but it's probably a ways away, right? End of October or something? I didn't watch the stream.
I can't remember if the anniversary and the dlc update are the same or separated by a bit, but if they are separated, then the anni. will come prob mid Oct, but if they're the same then late Oct. I don't think they'll do anything on the actually anniversary this time (maybe the dlc will? idk)

Maybe, but the trees could be argued that they just used any tree clipart that they saw and used it. The whole tent thing is weird, and I believe it's not a tent but a simplified mountain. It's supposed to be in the back, after all, not up in our face. About the lanterns and flags, well you got me there

Has Frontier ever used clipart in their key art?
Also, it's very clearly a windowed tent
