DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

When I say "PZ2 should have all PZ animals" I mean eventually. I know we wouldn't get over 200 animals in base game. LOL.
About the next DLC I'd love one of the following themes:
Arboreal Animal Pack
  • White-nosed Coati
  • Grey Fox/Tanuki
  • Black Howler Monkey
  • Golden Lion Tamarin
  • Vervet Monkey
  • Lion-tailed Macaque
  • Victoria Crowned Pigeon
Nocturnal Animal Pack
  • Aardwolf/Bat-eared Fox
  • Aye Aye
  • Bush Baby/Loris
  • African Civet/Sumatran Masked Palm Civet
  • Large Spotted Genet
  • Tarsier (any)
  • Brush-tailed Bettong
Education Animal Pack
  • Jacob Sheep
  • African Pygmy Goat
  • Watusi/Texas Longhorn
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Silkie Chicken
  • Duck (any)
  • Banded Mongoose
Aviary Animal Pack

For the next DLC I have two ideas:

Around the World Animal Pack (similar to the Zookeepers Pack and imo realistic if it is the last one)
1. Squirell monkey
2. Pere David's deer
3. Blackbuck
4. Nile crocodile
5. South American coati
6. Goodfellow's tree kangaroo
7. Great white pelican
Anniversary animal: American black bear

Temperate Animal Pack
1. Pere David's deer
2. Chinese muntjac deer
3. Mandarin duck
4. Dalmatian pelican
5. North American porcupine
6. Patagonian mara
7. European otter
Anniversary animal: American black bear

Dust off a couple of my old DLC ideas, both updated for current times

Shrublands Animal Pack:
1. Secretary Bird
2. Eastern Quoll
3. Thorold's Deer
4. Patagonian Mara
5. Zanzibar Red Colobus
6. Greater Roadrunner
7. Short-Beaked Echidna
Ex. Texas Horned Lizard

Oddballs Animal Pack:
1. Bengal Slow Loris
2. Burrowing Owl
3. Gerenuk
4. Greater Bilby
5. Reeve's Muntjac
6. Aye-Aye
7. Shoebill
Ex. European Glass Lizard

I love this idea.

How about instead of the Topi it could have the Moroccan tree-climbing goat? Not that we need more goats but these really are funny.

These goats are super funny but this concept started with the topi. I know we have so many antelopes but still not even one hartebeest species.

There are so many barnyard animals that would be ideal for the game. Let’s start with all the fowl and rabbits.

What about perhaps any exhibit animal pack.

South American Exhibit Pack:
  1. Emerald tree boa
  2. Pygmy marmoset
  3. Any other poison-dart frog besides the golden poison dart frog and Lehmann's poison dart frog
  4. Giant cave roach
  5. Eyelash viper
  6. Argentine red tegu
  7. Green anaconda
  8. Any macaw (scarlet, blue-and-gold, hyacinth, great green, green-winged, and blue-throated) (WTE)
Australian Exhibit Pack:
  1. Central bearded dragon
  2. Frilled lizard
  3. Sydney funnel-web spider
  4. Sugar glider
  5. Northern hopping mouse
  6. Australian water dragon
  7. Greater bilby
  8. Budgerigar and cockatiel (WTE)
Aquatic Exhibit Pack:

  1. Water opossum
  2. Chinese crocodile lizard
  3. Tentacled snake
  4. African clawed frog
  5. Alligator snapping turtle
  6. Pig-nosed turtle
  7. Northern caiman lizard
  8. Atlantic puffin and common murre (WTE)

Sorry for the double post but I know spider monkeys are genuinely a tough animal to implement for their unique locomotion. But how difficult could a howler monkey really be? Realistically it would move pretty similarly to the current capuchin with some tweaks all things considered. The chorus and vocalizations would definitely be the thing that would take more work imo. If I’m mistaken please let me know

Yeah, i mean howlers also have a prehensile tail, but i think for them its alot less integral to make them feel believable than it is for spider monkeys.
So i think howlers would be fine ish working like the capuchin (with a new rig/animation set ofc), with an animation or two where they hang down from vertical beams, like the binturong or the siamang.

Which probably is the reason why were getting the saki instead, as that one you can reasonably just throw on the capuchin rig and call it a day after editing the tail. And from what we could see from the screenshots it seems like thats what we are getting

Since Safari is a speculated theme right now, I want to add that I hope Frontier sticks with doing two birds per pack because there is some really amazing options here...

Actually can we just get all of them? Honestly better than most mammal picks for this theme.

Based on the clone heavy Americas, Crane and Guineafowl seem most likely of those, but I suspect there's two or three ungulates in the next pack to make up for Americas.

Honey Badger seems the single most likely species, qualifying for multiple themes and more or less a clone.

Asia Animal Pack Prediction Time.View attachment 425719
Nice theme, I would only switch the Sika with like a banteng or gaur, and the pangolin with a hanuman langur, as it's a typicial Indian animal which would be fun to mix with peacocks and such. Maybe the chital with the pere davids, though both are steller :)

Just my opinion, but yeah a good DLC :) golden pheasant is also nice for petting zoos and barnyards.

all of them are solid. I hope for a secretary bird and marabou, though I actually hope for all of them xD

I predict however; the crane and secretary :p

Anyway I'm down for Africa or Asia (or Savannah/Safari to blend Africa with India).

I think Islands would just end up being Southeast Asia 2 plus a Cuban crocodile or something. I seriously doubt we're ever going to see the tree kangaroo at this rate, either. "But the modders can do it" doesn't mean anything, clearly.

Couldn't They Do Another Lemur Instead Of A 6th SEA Animal?
I don't know about you but I'm not exactly frothing at the mouth for our fifth lemur. So yes they probably would do that.
I think the only lemur that would be really awesome and unique, is the Aye-Aye :p I'm down for it :D
It wouldn't be the aye-aye. Too complex an appearance at this point in development. Expect it to be the crowned lemur or blue-eyed black lemur or something. Maybe even the indri just to upset everyone. 😂
