DLC20 Discussion (maybe, but why not?)

I don’t particularly love an India pack but here’s mine:
1 Blackbuck
2. Reeve’s Muntjac
3. Gaur
4. Himalayan Monal
5. Lion Tailed Macaque
6. Fishing Cat
7. Asian Brown Tortoise
8. King Cobra Ex

India would be a pretty good choice for a region based pack although I would prefer East Asia.
1. Blackbuck
2. Lion Tailed Macaque
3. Hanuman Langur
4. Himalayan Monal
5. Demoiselle Crane
6. Painted Stork
7. Honey Badger
No 2nd ungulate is crazy work but I respect it

Umm Américas pack with no coati.

I pick the blackbuck over the nilgai because i didn't really like the nilgai that much, they are weird to me. Look like a long necked cow with a tiny head but is an antelope... And for antelopes blackbucks are My favorite so i would not leave them out. But i guess it can replace the gaur. Idc lol i think gaur are cooler though.
To me, an India pack would be best with both. Makes sense to get them together so they can be mixed together.

I've got an idea, the South Africa Animal Pack, why not

Fair argument, but what if I have it replace the fox
Then I'm sold. The guineafowl is a sleeper choice that cinches it for me. Between that and the serval the rest of the pack wouldn't matter to me.

Though - and I'm not trying to be picky - I think the kudu is the wrong choice, too - they're being phased out of zoos these days. That said I really like ungulates, so I'd take anything there.

I wonder if a general Old World Pack might work:
  1. Serval.
  2. Blackbuck.
  3. Raccoon dog.
  4. Rolloway/Diana/De Brazza's monkey/mantled guereza (pick one).
  5. Reeve's muntjac.
  6. Muskox.
  7. Bird (could be anything - guineafowl, some kind of crane, something more surprising like a duck or pelican).
Scenery is more difficult to imagine since the major regions here are covered (Africa, India, East Asia) but I guess it could just be supplementary content.

Oh, that's a good idea, but there is no hyrax so 0/100

For the monkey, I would prefer the common grey langur. As much as I want the muskox, I don't think it should be part of an old world since most of its range falls in America. The yak would be a similar animal but more fitting. And since I'm changing things, let's trade the dog for an African croc.

  3. Nile Crocodile.
  4. Nilgai.
  5. Asian Arowana.
  6. African Gray Parrot.
  7. De Brazza's Monkey.

Sure I'll give it a shot

4. Grey Crowned Crane
5. Reeve's Muntjac
6. Grey Langur

🤷‍♂️ I don't want the yak or another crocodile. The muskox is high on the wishlist which is why I included it. And honestly an African monkey is way better for diversity in such a pack. It's an Old World Pack, not an Asia Pack.

I was trying to design something realistic. Your list only includes three species that have any chance of being in the game (monkey, nilgai, crocodile).

It does beg the question of why Americas wasn't called New World. Muskox is primarily North American, that said Daffodils aren't native to the Americas at all.

In terms of scenery, Central Asian seems most requested, granted it would be weird if there's no Central Asian species in the pack.

I could still see a "World Animal Pack" as a finale. Scenery is a similar issue, but there are generic ideas like Exploration, which could be parts of Sailing ships, planes or other vehicles. World Animal Day is the 4th of October, so it fits with current scheduling, but does push back the final console bundle.
