DLCs if support continues throughout 2023...! What are your 6 more DLCs?

+ Jellyfish
They'd need a whole new exhibit.

Jellyfish need centrifugal force at a constant rate to survive. I only know because I looked into setting up a jellyfish tank at home. Basically the water needs to have a constant slow spin and basically a constant supply of brine shrimp for the jellies to eat. They die quickly in a normal aquarium.

Looking forward to the new DLC but I also think that a few critically endangered animals have Been missed, like the animals from New Zealand. The Kiwi about 68000 population, the Kakapo 124 population (large flightless bird), white heron 100-140 population, bat unknown population, southern elephant seal 250 population, and there are many other sea animals that are endangered more seals and dolphins and whales (might be abit big for a zoo), the kiwi is currently in a breeding program where the flightless birds a released into predator free areas, then these the Tuatara a lizard that has the name of "living fossil " with a population of about 60000, please don't forget about us at the bottom of the world.

Actually the only one endangered animal you mentioned by name is kakapo, which by law cant be kept in zoos (heron and southern elephant seal could be nationally critical, but overall they are least concern). Whole purpose of this pack is to include animals with conservation story. Probably nothing from New Zealand would fit this pack.

Doran bascially covered it. I think there's a good chance that we'll see the kiwi in the game one of these days, as it has been gaining more and more popularity as the years have gone by, and as far as birds go it's pretty unique. I'm hoping for the tuatara as well, as an exhibit animal, just to round it out (though that's arguably less likely). The kakapo shouldn't be in the game, though; there are none in captivity, and our own DOC has declared that it would be detrimental to their conservation efforts to attempt captive breeding. They're just too few that it isn't worth risking any viable pairs on an experiment.

The white heron isn't even iconic in New Zealand, so I'm not sure why they'd include it in the game. It's important culturally, certainly, but as far as kiwiana goes, not really. The elephant seal barely qualifies; like the king penguin.

While its not perfect, i feel like this set up would gain us a good and varied roster to cap of the games life span while also opening the door for the future.
As you have noticed, i included an aviary pack with 5 more aviary birds afterwards for a total of 10 aviary birds, which is not that much but still decent enough.

The main things missing would be a grassland and desert pack, aswell as the emu, waterfowl and a tamarin as core missing animals.
I could have easily continued for another year of support, and so could frontier.
In fact, it was really tough to decide between a temperate, grassland and desert, but in the end i decided for temperate, as i valued finishing of a whole continent in form of europe and a strong buffing of australia over a ragtagg group of random animals from across the world.
Only loss that actually hurts was the emu, but i dont think putting the emu and tassie devil in one pack would be a wise choice.
Funfact, Wombats were the only animal present in all three packs, so good for them.

In general i tried to cover as many open nieches that can be well integrated into the current roster but still being substancilly different.
For example, the reason why the spectacle bear is here is not because its a bear, but because it would require significantly different and larger habitats then any other south american animal we have in the game so far, while also fitting very well to the rest as a second big main attraction animal, which are sorely lacking for SA.
I also tried to put a focus on Europe, Australia, South America and Birds, simply because Asia, North America and Africa really dont need much more then a few key animals, for example a baboon, red river hog and a general monkey for africa, all three being featured in my packs.
Asia and North America still got alot of love, but mostly just profiting from europe, which is a good thing though.

This is perfection. Why don't you apply to Frontier, Konig👍. This really is like one of the best packs I've seen, with a bunch of animals I'd love to have

These are such great ideas. I would only make one change really - and that's substituting one of the later aviary birds for the Toucan. I cannot imagine a game with flying birds but no Toucan. They're way up there in terms of being immediately recognized by the public.

I understand why, but this would come at the expence of either the macaws, greater bird of paradise or the great hornbill, aka the most iconic parrots and the tropical representation for australia and asia, so without more slots i honestly dont see the toucan bringing enough to the table to warrant one.
But to be honest, i could easily still see something like an amazonian pack with more monkeys like a lion tamarin and squirrel monkey , an agouti, the ocelot, a south american tapir and 2 or even 3 more birds if you drop the tapir, with a toucan, scarlet ibis and a sun parakeet.

I sure do wish support was endless, because its sure easy to make fun packs like this ^^

That's a fair reason - and it's not like it's a rule, it's all opinion anyways. But I agree, I wish support would keep going and going. But even we do see support all the way through next year, I'm very less sure we'd see new content into 2024. I could be wrong though, I'd love to be wrong! I'd be thrilled if Frontier made Planet Zoo rival the Sims or Cities Skylines in terms of years of support.

It don’t really matter to me honestly as frontier has done a great job with dlc. I still feel aves is a necessity and the more animals the better obviously. To me news of the game extended another year or two would be enough no matter the dlc choices. The game is doing amazing and it seems staff and customer are having a blast with this game. The hype is like nothing I’ve witnessed before. The hype reminds me of the old zt2 community days waiting for radical remake and many other modders creations. So fingers crossed frontier considers extending development another year at least.

Birds = sure, go ahead with content
No birds = end this circus this december and back with proper stuff in PZ2.

2022:
Autumn: Forest Animal Pack
Winter: Nocturnal Scenery Pack (I like the idea to get this pack in the dark time of the year (of course only in the northern hemisphere)

2023: Potentially only animal packs (saves money and ressources and could just bring us more animals if it is the last year of support):

Spring: Grassland
Summer: Desert
Autumn: Mountains
Winter: Islands

2024:
Spring: Farewell pack (endangered species or clone pack)

Personally, I do not need aviaries. For me they are also the last exiting place visiting a Zoo IRL. I would not say no to them if we should get them. But if we should get them flying should made in a good way.

If there was a dislike button I'd use it here. Just because we probably aren't getting aviaries doesn't mean I want support to end in 2022.
So game would end with neither aviaries/aquariums and PZ2 possibility? Promising future, I see. Its my opinion and i can wait for sequel if it would mean sacrifice for better good. Im not pessimist, I like this game and want it to go to higher level. If support goes beyond 2022 i want to remember this game as something good, not game that couldnt reach its potential.

If it's just two more packs, it'll probably be something like the conservation pack and a farewell pack: ie: some themed pack like deserts or mountains (forests were sorta covered by the NA and the Europe pack), and a farewell pack that is whatever Frontier deciedes are fun/popular.

If we've go six left, I suspect one of the packs will be a petting zoo pack - adding the child specific enrichment makes me suspect a petting zoo/playground pack could be in the cards. It would come with a roster of animals like miniature donkeys and dwarf pigs and goats, rabbits - and the animals could/might have specific animations that allow the children to pet them. In keeping with Frontiers not going back and adjusting most older animals, particularly for complex animations, llamas and such could still be in a petting zoo, just not petted.

I think it's unlikely we'll get either aquariums or avairys at this point, even with a six pack that's a lot of work and not too many packs left afterwards to provide enough animals (since it's very unlikely that any follow-up packs would be solely dedicated to birds, for example.
