I'm content enough with the building and scenery pieces we have in the game (i'll just maybe want more foliage and some specific building themes) so most of my prefered packs would be animal packs to fulfill my dreamed roster. I'm not including an Aviary DLC in this list, but it is indeed one of the things i want the most... i just don't think the regular structure of current DLCs will satisfy my idea of one so i'll just ignore it for now.

Animal Packs

Woodlands/Forest Animal Pack

1. Tasmanian devil (AUS)
2. Red river hog (AF)
3. Red deer (EU)
4. Black howler monkey (SA)
5. Golden pheasant (AS)
6. Ocelot (SA)
7. Wolverine (NA-EU-AS)
8. Exhibit: Emerald tree boa/Green anaconda/Plumed basilisk/Tokay gecko

Highlands Animal Pack

1. Spectacled bear (SA)
2. Sichuan Takin (AS)
3. Golden snub-nosed monkey (AS)
4. Markhor (AS)
5. Gelada baboon (AF)
6. Palla's cat (AS)
7. Himalayan monal (AS)
8. Exhibit animal:

Grasslands Animal Pack

1. Maned wolf (SA)
2. Secretary bird (AF)
3. Emu (AUS)
4. Blackbuck (AS)
5. African crested porcupine (AF)
6. Greater Kudu (alt: Saiga antelope) (AF)
7. Vervet monkey (alt: ratel) (AF)
8. Exhibit animal:

Drylands Animal Pack

1. Dromedary camel (AF-AS-AUS)
2. Caracal (AF-AS)
3. Striped hyena (alt: Perentie) (AF-AS)(AUS)
4. Nine-banded armadillo (NA)
5. Greater rhea (SA)
6. Hamaydras baboon (AS)
7. Collared peccary (NA)
8. Exhibit animal: thorny devil/camel spider

Islands Pack

1. Fossa (AF)

3. Marine Iguana (alt: Sumatran rhinoceros) (SA)(SEA)
4. Japanese serow (AS)
5. Exhibit animal: panther chameleon/coconut crab/tuatara

Nocturnal House DLC

1. Owston's palm civet (alt: African civet) (AS)(AF)
2. Kiwi (OC)
3. Slow loris (alt: two-toed sloth) (SEA)(SA)
4. Aye-aye (AF)
5. Exhibit animal: vampire bat/hondurian white bat

Even with all these DLC (assuming we don't get birds :() i'm still missing a lot of big names from my personal list: black rhinoceros, grey crowned crane, scarlet ibis, any duck or swan, mantled guereza, spider monkey, west indian manatee, nile crocodile, sloth bear, gerenuk, impala, dik dik, any duiker, serval, roseate spoonbill, alligator snapping turtle, musk ox, brazilian tapir

Assuming we might get two more free anniversary animals (which i'm also doubtful about... i mostly think the lemur was a one time thing)... they'll prolly just be either an animal that is easy to make (aka clone) or that wouldn't sell well if included in a regular pack. So maybe the nile croc, dromedary camel, caribbean flamingo, red fox, red deer, another penguin, rhea are all options.

I doubt some of your ideas will ever happen. It is not your animal choice in general but some of your packs are not balanced in my opinion. Your forest pack consists only of carnivores whereas two are clone animals and your rainforest animal pack includes two crocodilians. Your nocturnal animal packs includes three cats and six carnivores. I hope you do not take it bad but this is what I noticed.

I try to make my own packs:
Autumn 2022: Forest animal pack
Sloth species
Black Howler Monkey
Tree kangaroo
Golden Lion Tamarin
Red River Hog
Muntjac
Ocelot
Chameleon

Winter 2022: Nocturnal scenery pack
Armadillo
Aye aye
Kiwi
Echidna
Any exhibit

Spring 2023: Grassland animal pack
Serval
Kirks Dik Dik
Secretary bird
Patagonian Mara
Goose
Emu
Wombat
Any exhibit

Summer 2023: Desert/Drylands animal pack (I can imagine that there will be a time where we just could get animals:
Dromedary
Caracal
Collared Peccary
Hamadryas Baboon
Crested Porcupine
Rock Hyrax
Maned Wolf
Any exhibit

Autumn 2023: Mountain Animal pack
Markhor
Spectacled Bear
Alpine Marmot
Gelada
Pudu
Pallas Cat
Wolverine
Any exhibit

Winter 2023: Farewell pack (double number of animals just because some important animals are still missing 😃)
Tasmanian Devil
Tamandua
Fossa
Blackbuck
Takin
Red Deer
Coati
Pelican
Shoebill
Spider Monkey
Sloth Bear
Musk Ox
Walrus
Little Blue Penguin
Lar Gibbon
Any exhibit

Anniversary animals:
2022: American Black Bear
2023: Black Rhino

Nooooo the poor drill :(

Nooooo the poor drill :(
It was first in the list as anniversary animal for 2023 but I think the black rhino is perhaps more important because of the statues and I wanted to include all 3 remaining bears (inner Monk and so 😃) but I am also the opinion that the Drill would be a good anniversary animal. I must say even with this list there are a lot of animals which are missing.
Honorable mentions pack: Spring 2024 😃
Monkeys in General
Antelopes (Gerenuk, Giant Eland, ...)
Greater Rhea
Agouti
Tanuki
Raccoon
Marabou Stork
White Stork
... ( a lot of animals I am not thinking about in the Moment)

I really like your ideas, and I agree that most of my ideas can't be real and I agree with your choice of animals, and it is more consistent than mine, especially in the forest, mountains, desert.and nocturnal.
Although I hope the island pack is true, with the most requested on the wishlist the tasmanian devil and the stick insect already confirmed. And your last idea is very good, although if I see that pack one day I would be happy and sad, because of the amount of animals and because it is the last pack of Planet zoo.
Let's cross our fingers that frontier surprises us with a big pack of birds.

As I said your general animal choices are not that worse in my opinion as it perhaps seemed after my post 🙂. It is particulary the balance of the single packs like putting 3 cats together in one pack. If you look at the earlier packs there was never a pack consisting only of herbivores or only of carnivores and every animal family like cats, dogs, ... got just one place per pack.
But yes, let us hope that Frontier will support the game as long as it is possible for them (making money with the game).

Keep buying keep buying!!!! 2029 with expansions to prolong game life.

Fall 22 - Temperate Animal Pack
Winter 22 - Explorer Pack (cold weather frontier)
Spring 23- New World Aviary(ditto, but for the Americas)
Summer 23- Desert Pack with Scenery
Fall 23- Islands Animal Pack or Endangered Species Animal Pack
Winter 23- Petting Zoo DLC

Still would like to the career story expanded with some adventures to highlight some species. Expanding the exhibit for some fish or coral reef scenes. Adding a scenario editor for players to create scenarios and share in the workshop. Perhaps adding something like the planet coaster theme makers tool kit. A few things like insect emitters for fireflies, dragonflies, bees and butterflies. A couple more shop types. All these alongside some animals that appear in zoos. And finally, we cannot forget the petting zoo for the wee ones to enjoy.

So was the capybara, it seems, so although you are right that the stick insect isn't confirmed, it's at least likely to show up and is still a pretty solid lead.
In some concept art it was revealed that the stick insect was originally planned for the Australia Pack but was cut. That's why I don't think we'll be getting it.

We don't know how far in development it was. Making any sort of statement like yours isn't really logical.

If they made a model, for example, there's no chance they would just scrap it permanently. The capybara leaks were also signs and scenery scrapped from the Aquatic Pack, yet it still made it in.

Anyway, time will tell. There's absolutely no value in making firm statements when it comes to Frontier.

The fact the stick insect got cut seemingly late into development makes me think it's very unlikely we'll see it.

I think it was part of a 4+2 pack model which got scrapped, I guess because of covid, and the stick insect isn't an attractive or popular enough animal to take the single exhibit slot that DLCs provide.

However if we should get it I personally would not have anything against it. Stick insects are visually very distinct from the giant leaf insect. But yes, there are perhaps other exhibit animals which are more priority. I would like to see a cobra species, a gecko, a chameleon and in case of insects I would find the mantis a very interesting pick. I must say these insects seem always a bit spooky to me 😃
