It'll all be just eye candy with ZERO contribution to the actual gameplay.
I will put on record now, that if FDev does introduce Ship Interior's to ED/EDO, I will not spend one second doing it......it'll be pointless............did you see the Stream from SC where a streamer was filling an empty mug at a Coffee Machine?![]()
People like you have zero imagination.
* Repairs without AFM and one time module boosts
- Bonuses can be short term and one time use, FSD range, Limpet up time. FSD range for example wouldn’t be worth using all the time during an exploring trip as it would just take too long to keep doing but would be useful for a quick extra few LY jump when it’s actually needed
- This isn’t a game break for combat, you can’t get out of a seat in ED if a ship is under almost any sort of motion (there is no anti gravity or inertial control in ED, and aside from floating around, something Star Citizen does well, you’d be a mess on the wall the second someone turned right), no one is going to spend 5+ minutes doing something to their ship in combat (while their ship sits totally still because multi crew or not your ship can’t move once they are out of the seat) for an extra 2 seconds off FSD spool up time or slightly extra FSD range
* Life support/hydrophobic adjustment for life stock/food transport
- Doesn’t need to change how the game currently deals with cargo, just adds a slight (maybe mission) bonus to well cared for live stock etc with longer trade distances for some runs
- People pay good money for beef from certain parts of the world, I don’t see any reason why people can’t pay for live stock transported from one side of the bubble to the other for very long trading trips and live stock needs to be cared for, even frozen food needs maintenance during transport
* Inside ship battles, derelict ships in orbit or crashed on planets
- Scale this up, stations, large satellites in zero g orbit or crashed
- Literally salvaging pre-engineered bonus finds on ships (even if just weapons and suits)
* Better genetic testing/analysing for explorers
- Bring the genetic sample back to your ship and actually work on it, giving bonuses when handed in
* Better NPC crew support, an Anaconda cannot be flown by a single person
- so so much I could say on this I wouldn't be able to fit it into a single post
* Frankly a work bench to work and modify weapons and suits (sights, different power cells that maybe give better shields but lower the time you can stay out without a recharge etc) would have been nice but clearly that ship has sailed and we’re stuck with yet more Engineers which to be frank are one of the worst game designs I think I’ve seen in the last 10 years
